Two HR for Mookie last night.Mookie is already 2-2 and the Dodgers have put up 6 runs against MFY in the 1st inning.
So glad he is back. One of the most fun pitchers in the league to watch, in my opinion.Triston McKenzie makes his season debut with 5 shutout innings, 1 hit, 1 bb, 10 K. In usual Cleveland style, he'll get a no-decision after leaving the scoreless game.
I agree, but I am still glad the Sox don't have to face him (apparently). So glad he is back. One of the most fun pitchers in the league to watch, in my opinion.
They have barely even gotten anything from DeGrom and they are crushing people, best run differential in MLB by 30 over TB. If they keep it up all year, that will make the AL East that much more cutthroat, three playoff teams and not four (TEX/HOU/Central).I think that if we're going to snark on the Mets and Padres for spending a gazillion dollars to be "meh" and "kinda bad," respectively, then it's only fair to note that the Rangers have also spent a gazillion dollars and are currently awesome. They've passed the Mariners for "Team Most Likely To Overtake the Astros in the AL West," anyway. For that matter, it's probably fair to note that the Mariners probably should've opened the wallet a little more for some more substantial upgrades than Teoscar Hernandez and Kolten Wong.
Enrique, Valdez, Dalbec and Martin for Mookie, Freeman, Vargas, and May seems fairThe Dodgers bullpen is terrible. If the Red Sox become sellers maybe LA will overpay to get Chris Martin back.
Jeter's been retired for a while nowThe ball washing of Judge and the fence is ridiculously stupid.
Meanwhile, Pablo Lopez has basically been Minnesota's #5 starter.Arraez is 3-4 so far tonight. Now hitting.399.
You hate to see it.Alek Manoah done after 1 out, giving up 6 runs on 7 hits and a walk to Houston.
He had a really bad April, too. I thought he was cooked, and he very well might be, but this is an impressive stretch.Wacha gave up 2 hits in 6 innings. He really looked like he was about to pumpkin the end of last year, really dont' blame the Red Sox on passing on him, but if Wacha keeps this up that insane 3 year team option will actually be picked up.
It’s their year, plan the parade.Jason Adam was trying to blow another lead in the top of the 9th when the Rays turned a sick double play to get out of bases loaded jam and then Randy walked it off with a HR to lead off bottom 9th. The Rays are just magic at the Trop this year.
The Reds are also a ton of fun to watch. I am glad that I am at a point in my life that I can still root for the Sox, but really appreciate the enormous amount of talent that has entered the league over the last couple years. This is the best shape the game has ever been in, in my opinion.Reds come from behind to beat the Dodgers again.
Yankees are still the favoritesIt’s their year, plan the parade.
The both better watch there backs. The Reds are comin'...Yankees are still the favorites
Elly de la Cruz's first home run. I'm not sure it has landed yetThe both better watch there backs. The Reds are comin'...
Kid’s swing looks just like Griffey Jr. That rapid, violent, but smooth and controlled uppercut from a lefty. Griffey seemed a little shorter on the whole swing (eyeball test). But damn that is a marvelous swing and contactElly de la Cruz's first home run. I'm not sure it has landed yet

I love the look the 3B ump gives it on the replay; it's as though he he was stifling either a laugh or a muffled "holy crap" under his breathKid’s swing looks just like Griffey Jr. That rapid, violent, but smooth and controlled uppercut from a lefty. His sprint from home to third on his first triple of his career was also the fastest anyone had done that this year.Elly de la Cruz's first home run. I'm not sure it has landed yet
