Nice work if you can get it.It's that time of the year when the calendar turns to July, the midpoint of the MLB season approaches and - most importantly - it's the time Bobby Bonilla gets paid!
NYM will pay him the annual $1.19M (and will continue to do so till 2035).
Regain the lead at 6-6?Indians regain the lead 6-6 in the seventh on a two-out double by Mike Napoli. This is helluva follow-up to last night
TypoRegain the lead at 6-6?
MLBN had this game as to be televised now but they're showing the Twins blowing out the Rangers instead.
The Rangers pitching staff is shot, particularly the pen.Texas is getting curbstomped in Minnesota, 17-4 in the 5th.
What happened there? Except for a couple of pitchers in one game, the relievers they put up against the Sox stymied them. Is their closer hurt? The Rangers pitching staff is shot, particularly the pen.
It's the number of appearances they've had through the season; starting to wear them down. With the traditional Texas heat ahead of them, the Rangers are going to need to beef up an injured rotationWhat happened there? Except for a couple of pitchers in one game, the relievers they put up against the Sox stymied them. Is their closer hurt?
Edit: Trying to answer my own question, both Ramos and Jackson pitched much better against the Sox than today, giving up 1 and 0 to the Sox and 7 and 6 to the Rangers. Jackson pitched a bit longer today, Ramos about the same.Only Tolleson pitched well, about the same to both teams.
They were mad at his pinch hit double last nightJose Fernandez got beat up by Atlanta today. Can't say that I saw that one coming
They are indeed a special kind of ugly. Most years the July 4th hats across MLB look great. This year's are an abomination.
They look like cheap beer league softball hats from the 80's.They are indeed a special kind of ugly.
He's also, like Pedroia, grounding into double plays in nearly a quarter of his opportunities this year. If they were doing that together we'd be tearing our hair out.Oh, and Adrian Gonzalez now has this line for 2016: .278/.352/.385. His power is gone. What a fantastic trade that was for the Sox. Even if they had to give up Punto.
http://espn.go.com/mlb/standings/gridThe Indians are 10-0 against Detroit so far this year. How can I find out the best single-season H2H records (especially in the unbalanced schedule era)?
Pics of good ones or it didn't happen. Most years the July 4th hats across MLB look great. This year's are an abomination.

I thought previous ones that were the normal hat with the red, white and blue in the logo were pretty slick. That may just be me.Pics of good ones or it didn't happen.
They've all been terrible
Posada's still playing?fucking Dumbo has two more HR today
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/385877991.html"In this game, performance earns respect," Boras said. "After beating one of the best teams in the National League, he was told he no longer was a member of the team.
"It's disrespect for someone who will be a principal part of the organization for years to come, to add a bench player for 10 days. Not exactly a valued ethic. In this game, teams do not send down starting pitchers who are performing well."
And Buck Doubleday didn't use his closer in extras on the road til the O's went ahead.Dylan Bundy pitched 2 1/3 innings for the Orioles in their 14 inning win last night. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2, but all 7 outs came by way of the K.
