This is why All-pro votes shouldn't be weighted so heavily. Rodney had a ton of counting stats across the board and he wasn't collecting them by risking the integrity of the defense.The distance between Seymour and Harrison is huge. 4x first team all-pro 3x second vs 2&1. Also Seymour was on the all-decade team for the 2000’s, which is voted on by the HOF voters...if you make that...unless it is as a fullback or on special teams...you are a virtual lock to get in eventually.

Polamalu received four 1st teams and two 2nd teams, but - as noted above - he was routinely exposed by quarterbacks who were simply able to look him off. Like, Brady did it to him so many times, and the guy didn't give a fuck. He'd still gamble (and lose) routinely sniffing out the picks.
I'd have taken Rodney over Troy ten times out of ten. And Troy is in the HoF because he had big hair.
