This game has gone turbo bozo and it rules.
@Titans Bastard must be very wasted right now even if he is stone sober.

Especially considering the much bigger upsets that happened in the West.I hate when announcers build up narratives. They were just saying how incredible it is that NYCFC could pull off a win in this game, what with the Revs being record-setters and not losing at home in the playoffs since 2002 (yeah, I was there - damn crossbar).
In reality, NYCFC has always had no less than, what, a 40% chance of winning coming in? It just wouldn’t be that wild for any MLS club to beat another in any given scenario.
I told someone over text they were just going route 1 and they did it again. Good scouting by NYC to know he wouldn't stay home on the 3rd one.Damn, they went down the middle three times.
That’s probably the wrong reaction given the season overall, but this was a dud of a gameplan for sure.Fire Bruce
It’s a USMNT meme…. Joking….That’s probably the wrong reaction given the season overall, but this was a dud of a gameplan for sure.
That is truly a weird bye system that doesn’t seem to help the bye teams.Wonder how much the 23 day layoff really hindered them. They looked so out of sync. Reminded me of a dud New Years day bowl game. That's quite a long layoff for a win or go home game for the one seed.
Can't believe I'm agreeing. At least Castellanos won't take part. What a pointless second yellow.Go Philly.
I mean, we’re talking about a team co-owned by the Yankees and the royal family of Abu Dhabi. Can't believe I'm agreeing. At least Castellanos won't take part. What a pointless second yellow.
There's nothing official, but there's been some reporting that league may start earlier in February in 2023 when they have to schedule around the mid-season break for the expanded Leagues Cup.The season can’t start any earlier. I mean, Chicago’s home opener is March frickin’ 5th next year.
I’ve been banging this drum on SoSH for years now and so apologies if I repeat myself, but Liga MX Apertura Liguilla has a great format and it operates on the same timeframe as the MLS Cup finals, commencing after the last fall international break and concluding the second weekend of December. Liga MX tweaked the format this year with a single elimination “reclassification” round for teams that did not qualify directly to the quarterfinal, but from the quarterfinal on the format is as follows:I find it surprising that the No. 1 seed didn't advance all those years when they played two legs.
I think I'd like them to go back to two legs, but maybe the top seed gets two home games instead of a home and an away. Makes the race for the top spot mean more.
I threw this out in the MLS thread; I think a Page system could work. My idea would be something like this:Solving the long lay off for top seeds problem needs to happen. The season can’t start any earlier. I mean, Chicago’s home opener is March frickin’ 5th next year.
In addition to the Supporters’ Shield and league record for points. Remarkable season for the Revs.Arena: coach of the year
Gil: MVP
Turner: Keeper of the year
Goff later said that it wasn't finalized but that there were serious negotiations happening. I'm intrigued.Goff reports Sebastian Lletget is heading back to New England (the club who discovered him, don’t you know?) for non-player trade assets in return.

An Arlington product. I interviewed him last year, seemed like a really mature kid.Noel Buck '05 signs an MLS deal. I'm sure it's likely he'll spend most or all of next season with the second team in MLS Next Pro, but he's one of a couple of kids in the Revs academy whose names have a bit of buzz right now.

Same hometown (Arlington) and club team (Boston Bolts) as Miles Robinson. New England doesn’t have enough talent to be a homegrown powerhouse like FCD, but it’s imperative to make sure talents like Robinson or Buck don’t slip through the cracks.Noel Buck '05 signs an MLS deal. The deal is done and Turner stays through the end Champions League. Now I’m going to go outside and take a long walk.
The Revs are getting Altidore at a much cheaper price than what Toronto has been paying for him. The team already has Bou and Buksa, so Altidore might even be coming off the bench, although he's also an insurance policy given the possibility that Buksa is sold this summer.Altidore ? Is he still alive ? So, we will lose Turner and get Altidore ? Not sure what the Revs are doing. I get making money on a sale, but Altidore is in his twilight years, no ?
