I genuinely think the goal is too big for the women’s game. Women can strike a ball with the pace and accuracy to make many keepers irrelevant far too frequently. There simply arent enough women playing to get a pool of keepers that have the size and skills. The men have a hard enough time finding the bodies.
Some would wonder if Zach Steffen would have stopped that one. But in all honesty, it's a tough placement for any keeper especially one at 1.77m. Sure there are a few top 5 keepers in that range of <1.8m, but theres a reason most are closer to 1.87m.

Some would wonder what Zach Steffen can stop these days... Matt Turner for President (of USMNT WC Starting Goalkeepers).

That's a thing of beauty. At my age, I don't work on skills anymore, but I've always had trouble keeping my shots low. We had a pub league cancellation a few weeks ago, but a handful of us went to the field anyways and played soccer-volleyball. There were 5 of us though, so one guy had to sit out. When I sat out, I worked on just hitting the ball hard and low. Still can't do it.

This guy hits a half volley like a rocket and it never gets a yard off the ground [insert clappy emoji]!

Great goal, in a derby!

Vasco da Gama is back in Série A, after spending the last two season in Série B, and built a brand new team under the administration of an American investment group, 777 Partners, who bought the rights to head the football team for the next 30 years.

Watching it again, the keeper went directly for it. Not certain she got a touch. Regardless, not knowing the rules should get her benched- absolutely inexcusable.

Allowing shit like that to go in and nonchalantly lining up the resulting free kick while the other team celebrated was one of my favorite moves. I got bonus points from my teammates if I faked making an effort for it.

How? There really aren’t any adjectives to describe that.

Consider how many players get off a typical shot from that position and send it over or wide. And this one was place perfectly.

Utd beat Everton 3-0, in Everton's first game after the 10-point deduction. The crowd was up for it, I expected Goodison to be at its seething best, but he hit this at the four-minute mark. Could've heard a pin drop afterwards.

Haven’t Di Maria and Messi been trying to beat each other to be the first one to do this, or was that just when they’re with Argentina?
