He's missed like 4 open layupsThey don’t have a single play designed to get him an open layup. Do some backdoor cuts or something for fucks sake.
Left a MUCH bigger lead on the table trying to force too much bad shit.

Too many wasted possessions up 12-14. Jaylen was sneaky not great too, forced a ton of contested shots.Only up 7 after that half is a really bad situation. They should be up 15 based on the shooting numbers. Not good.
Al is playing very good defense on Embiid, that's what you need out of him... the MVP has 12 points and is visibly frustrated.Tatum’s offense is horrific, but Al is bad everywhere.
I think we need a live chicken.Lighting some fucking sage for Jayson Tatum's shot.
I'd like to understand more about that. Is this right before the game, or "before" as in earlier? Because they have to work out sometime. I'd bet a lot of NBA players work out at some point before the game and then nourish themselves before tip off.Mark Jones was saying the other day that Tatum is lifting before games, and wraps up 30 mins before tip off. Yeah maybe he should chill with that
He missed one, then missed the tip (where no one was near him). He also missed a driving lay up where he literally air balled it. I have no idea what’s going onHe's missed like 4 open layups
Eh, Camden is right over the bridge.Take out fucking Tatum and send him out for sandwiches...in Jersey.
That play feels so emblematic. Great defense for 23 seconds. They all chased when Harden lost the dribble for a second instead of staying disciplined.
How bad what was? Tatum is shooting awful but he’s still a big part of this team having a lead at the half.Pretty decent chance Tatum cost them the game. No words to describe how bad that was.
Because if he's not the guy and he can't elevate this team to a championship it's tough to reconcile so people lash out.Tatum's an MVP candidate and has been complete dogshit offensively. And any time people have the audacity to complain about it in a game thread, there's a few posters that can't deal with it and lash out like it's insane to bitch about the fact we have an MVP candidate that has been complete dogshit offensively.
It's weird.
I’d feel better if he included their final lines for the game and they were all awesomeView: https://twitter.com/FlyByKnite/status/1656822157304037377
Well, at least that's a list of really good players (and Michael Finley)

And airballed an open three. He’s mental. He missed one, then missed the tip (where no one was near him). He also missed a driving lay up where he literally air balled it. I have no idea what’s going on
Yeah all him driving from 30 feet out navigating around multiple defenders, fending off contact, and expecting Embiid at the rim or praying for a whistle. Maybe just once try getting him the ball in space close to the hoop? If Harden can get open enough to fucking dunk I think we can figure out a way to do it for our guy in the prime of his life. He's missed like 4 open layups
+1 when he’s been out there. How bad what was? Tatum is shooting awful but he’s still a big part of this team having a lead at the half.
Nah, he’s gotten the same looks he gets every game. Just hasn’t hit them. They shouldn’t change their offensive approach because of that.Yeah all him driving from 30 feet out navigating around multiple defenders, fending off contact, and expecting Embiid at the rim or praying for a whistle. Maybe just once try getting him the ball in space close to the hoop? If Harden can get open enough to fucking dunk I think we can figure out a way to do it for our guy in the prime of his life.
I love you man and I enjoy your posts but…that’s not true. The layups he’s missed have been relatively uncontested.Yeah all him driving from 30 feet out navigating around multiple defenders, fending off contact, and expecting Embiid at the rim or praying for a whistle. Maybe just once try getting him the ball in space close to the hoop? If Harden can get open enough to fucking dunk I think we can figure out a way to do it for our guy in the prime of his life.
Yeah maybe. But there's off days like yesterday. I'd think getting shots up might be more useful. But also what the hell do I knowI'd like to understand more about that. Is this right before the game, or "before" as in earlier? Because they have to work out sometime. I'd bet a lot of NBA players work out at some point before the game and then nourish themselves before tip off.
Really fucking bad. Don't know what to tell you besides that. His first half blocks aren't carrying them to a win. So yay he could have been much worse? How bad what was? Tatum is shooting awful but he’s still a big part of this team having a lead at the half.
People can complain about his shooting struggles. Calling for his head is different and completely disconnected from the totality of his contribution on the floor. That he needs to shoot better doesn’t mean he is hurting the team or needs to be benched. Life isn’t binary.Tatum's an MVP candidate and has been complete dogshit offensively. How many non-superstars would be allowed to go 0-10?View: https://twitter.com/FlyByKnite/status/1656822157304037377

It’ll be an excruciating season. If he performs in the 2024 playoffs, it’ll stop. If he doesn’t…well, it’ll also stop because expectations will have changed. If they don’t win tonight this will be an excruciating summer for him.
Theoretically a block is just as good as making a basket.Really fucking bad. Don't know what to tell you besides that. His first half blocks aren't carrying them to a win. So yay he could have been much worse?

They're playing the way they should. I'm sure the 2nd half will bring some adversity, but win or lose - keep playing this wayI’m okay with a 7 point lead at the half. Tatum will find his shooting groove in the 2nd half. I really hope the Celtics push the ball up the floor with a sense of urgency for each and every possession when Embiid is on the floor.
Only Finley. How many non-superstars would be allowed to go 0-10?
Pretty much every single NBA game these days one team goes up 10-15 and then the other team pulls it back. It’s really, really hard to build a big lead and keep it, especially when you build the big lead early.I guess you can spin it either way - they should be up 20, or it’s impressive that they have a 7-point lead having gotten nothing from JT.
…especially when you have Jayson Tatum taking shotsPretty much every single NBA game these days one team goes up 10-15 and then the other team pulls it back. It’s really, really hard to build a big lead and keep it, especially when you build the big lead early.
If your MVP candidate is a +1 at halftime in an elimination game, he's hurting the team relative to what he should be doing.People can complain about his shooting struggles. Calling for his head is different and completely disconnected from the totality of his contribution on the floor. That he needs to shoot better doesn’t mean he is hurting the team or needs to be benched. Life isn’t binary.
Yup. Hence the cliche about not needing to watch a game until the last few minutes.Pretty much every single NBA game these days one team goes up 10-15 and then the other team pulls it back. It’s really, really hard to build a big lead and keep it, especially when you build the big lead early.
