Philly should feel terrible about this game.
They had Boston on the mat into the fourth and let it slip away. The Cs did their part and played tough down the stretch but the 76ers had it.
Yep. Game 5 and Game 6 kind of even out in my mind - Celts were down big in Game 5, but then came back and probably should have won it. Sixers we’re down big in Game 6, but then came back and probably should have won it.

Boston 13-2 this season when TL scores 10 or more points, including 3-1 in th3 playoffs, with the loss being the Trae Young gamewinner

Coach after the game on Tatum. "Shooting after you miss a bunch is easy. What's hard is missing all those shots, but still playing good defense after every miss."

Or maybe Brad said stop putting one of our most dynamic defenders on a corpse which is what happened for five games.
TL did guard a corpse for most of his 28 minutes. Does anyone have any info that Brad was the impetus for going back to last season’s most successful starting lineup?

Sixers fate is tied to Harden. Everyone else is pretty much a known quantity. They just need to keep making everything hard for him. Let Embiid hit his ten jumpers. Defend the rest. I was ready to bury this team. They showed some real heart in the last six minutes tonight.

I started following the game on the Yahoo Sports app - as if it was 2002. I turned the TV on with about 6 minutes left and saw one awful C’s play, so back to Yahoo it was. And so back to the app on Sunday.

(Side note - I actually like the Yahoo sports app).

Post-game JO-ELLL threw his teammates and coach under the bus saying "I didn't get the ball in the last four minutes." Can't a player signal the bench to call a timeout?

Embiid pre throwing Doc under the bus before Doc can throw him under the bus?

Doris: "When the Sixers went down 0-2 Doc fired up this team. He told them you've got this. If we get this to a game seven we can do this."
Doris corrected herself here a moment later.
At the end of the day we'll never know, but what we do know is the early series adjustment of Jaylen taking on guarding Harden was Jaylen's idea, Joe owned up to the no TO being dumb, and he's generally regarded as "stubborn". The conclusions you can draw from that are your own, but he had Tatum on PJ Fucking Brown for five games, so...
We’re so drunk after that game we think Tatum was guarding a dude who retired 15 years ago.

Marcus was just fucking immense in this game. People will go right back to shitting on him the next time things don’t go our way, but this game, when they needed it most, is why he’s the heart and soul of this team.

BTW Durant is 1-10 from the floor right now.

She said it twice about 15 minutes apart. Sweet dunk though.

Am I supposed to be the one dunking on someone? I’m just saying she corrected herself after the time you posted that. I didn’t hear the other time you say she said it.
I mean I only messed up PJ Brown and PJ Tucker once, so advantage me. You guys should regroup and come back Sunday.

Just like how people kill JT or JB every time they have a bad game or miss a shot or free throw or turn the ball over?

I’m loving the one of these postgame interviews.

Tatum: “I’m, humbly, one of the best players in the world.”

Smart: “Coach was fucking up left and right earlier in this series.”

Jaylen: “Crowd has sucked balls so far in the playoffs. Time to bring it, losers.”

Jaylen Brown lays down gauntlet on fans for Game 7 at Garden. “The energy in the Garden has been OK at best … I need you to come with the energy. No excuses.”

Jayson Tatum: “I’ve gotta give a lot of credit to my teammates.” He said “that shit was frustrating” but they just kept encouraging him and telling him the next one would go in. “It’s going to come. It’s going to come.”

Yeah, they seem pissed and ornery. I’m encouraged. This is why it kinda sucks there’s a two-day layoff now, hard to keep that momentum.

Marcus Smart was so fucking good tonight.

Malcolm Brogdon, you can’t pass or defend worth a shit but you made some BIG shots.

There were two separate instances when the Celtics looked like they were going to fold and Jaylen made a big bucket.

Horford is Horford. “Average Al” is a stud.

CJM made some KEY adjustments in between games.

The defense put some CLAMPS on Philly.

That was a fucking TEAM win. Shame on me because I completely lost faith
This post is spot on – but you shouldn’t beat yourself up for losing faith. This team has some weird energy, likely at least partly because of the rookie coach.
