I'm sure Montgomery will be very fucking perturbed about that trash fucking no call. Might even purse his fucking lips.

He might even tell the refs he respectfully disagrees with their calls.

I fucking hate this league sometimes. That was freakin’ boarding on Lohrei if called that goal would not have occurred

Lots of folks here called it when the Toronto coach went in on Brad. They were right. Bruins didn’t really say shit and now Toronto gets every break.

Is this where I tell the story about Rooney almost getting killed after calling a kid out in Little League for missing first on a home run?

That non call on an obvious boarding makes me want to punch my TV. Fucking egregiously terrible.

This is where Monty should go full Schoenfeld on Don Koharski style apeshit.

Enough with the passivity. It’s infuriating.
For real, if Monty doesn't earn himself a fine tonight (and I'm including the scenario where the Bs come back and win this), then I'm fucking done with him. Your job is to protect your players. That Lohrei didn't come away from that seriously injured is pure luck. Read these incompetent shitbag refs the fucking riot act.

Incredibly after the first 25 minutes of dreck they don’t even deserve to be down 1-0, now. They deserved to be on a power play with 5 minutes of uninterrupted advantage at 0-0.

Unjustifiable non-call there, on the boarding. It was textbook - and the referee was STARING at it. Easiest call in the book and he either chickened out thanks to the home crowd or he’s corrupt. I tend to lean to the former, always, but stuff like that is where even reasonable people start to wonder about motive.

I could see a view of that where you could have thought Lohrei was hooking his arm around to try to draw a call. I'm not saying thats how I see it, but I'm sure thats how a ref would defend the no-call there.

I don’t know if anyone measures this but it really feels like we have yielded an insanely high number of backbreaking goals on unfortunate deflections/puck bounces in the playoffs.

And certainly the most after should’ve been major penalties.

If they play like they did the last 12 minutes of the 2nd period and get a make up call or two and play the defense they can play. They can win this

Per NST, high danger chances in the second were 8-3 for Boston. xG 1.5-0.38.

And naturally, at intermission, Bieksa and the gang discuss McAvoy’s hit on Kampf, with nary a peep about Holmberg’s on Lohrei.

That first goal was crucial. They finally started playing but wasted a whole period and that inexcusable. I want Monty gone after this season whatever happens. He's just not a good playoff coach. Team looks completely unprepared to play playoff games. That's not mention the inability to deal with refs

Please do.
Rooney is about four years older than I am, and was umping a game when he was probably like 14. The 12 year old he called out on appeal was definitely showboating and probably legitimately missed first, but was also one of those kids destined to be 5’9 and solid muscle from the time he was 12 until death. And he grew up in a pretty tough situation. Took about five people to keep him away from Rooney.
