Go out tonight and be the more desperate team on the ice. Throw the first punch and don’t give them any sort of life or confidence. Be the first one to 50-50 pucks. Clear the puck out of the defensive zone swiftly and effectively leading to quality chances. Pasta, Marchand, McAvoy— this is a game where the best players have to be at their best. Lead the team to victory.

End this shit tonight.

Enough fucking around. Go out and hit their hurt players and scare them away from puck battles. Go out and shoot a million shots at the backup goalie. Go out and skate your fucking asses off so you can get an extra day of rest later. It’s time to show up and finish this thing.

Rip their heads off.

I am assuming that the ice will be better than it was at TD garden, which will lead to a much better Bruins team tonight.

Let's just win all fucking 3 in Toronto and put this top-heavy soap opera out its misery tonight.

I also go with Linus in net tonight. Get the rotation going again, and then you have Sway fresh for Game 7/Game 1. Would also like to see Beecher back in.

And while I haven't really be able to stand Jack for quite awhile...let the man go out on top please!

Here
Some Leafs fans are speculating Matthews got a concussion late in the season and tried to play through it and fucked it back up. I haven't seen the original play, though.

Those looking for a local feed for Jack tonight, Fubo trial could be an option. Just enter a zip code local to Boston at signup.

I bet on Toronto to win. It is all I can do to contribute my bad luck to ensure that the Bruins prevail

This Bruins team has been a pleasant surprise this season. I’d like to see them keep going in the playoffs. Win tonight please and send the leafs golfing.

Per Fluto, Heinen is out (day to day). Shattenkirk and Beecher back in.
AM lines:
Marchand-Coyle-Geekie
DeBrusk-Zacha-Pastrnak
Van Riemsdyk-Frederic-Brazeau
Beecher-Boqvist-Maroon

Lohrei-McAvoy
Lindholm-Carlo
Wotherspoon-Shattenkirk

Wait, is Shattenkirk going in for Grzelcyk? I get that his play in overtime was Charmin soft, but I didn't think they would bench him for a literal corpse.

So it’s Sway. Interesting
I really think it's a no brainer. If you switch now and something bad happens, you'll certainly second guess more than if you stick with Sway.

Would be a different story if Sway gave you a reason to switch.

But what if he gives up 5 tonight?

Had they lost with Ullmark, you could easily go back to Sway for 7.

I'm on team "Sway All The Way". I'd give him Game 7 too unless he completely lays an egg tonight. Late thirty-something Thomas played every game in 2011, no reason why young Swayman can't play 6/7 games, none of which are on back-to-back nights.

So. Close to worst case scenario. He hasn't given any indication that would happen, otherwise I would switch.

What is this 7 you speak of?

I just think if you start Linus and he gives up 5 you would question your decision more than if it you started Sway and it happened.

But it won't.

Exactly. If Sway starts tonight, it's clearly evident there is no longer a rotation. We're back to old school one goalie playoff hockey.

I dont think the question is "can swayman play 6/7 games?" I think it's "can he play 3 games in 5 nights better than playing 2 games in 5 nights + Ullmark playing the middle one?"

It would seem that way. And maybe it’s inevitable. But given that goaltending is a huge strength of this team, and they rotated all season. I’d keep doing what got them to this point, contrary to most predictions.

They made changes last game (on D and F, not G) and it cost them. I don't like tinkering when things are working and right now Swayman in net is working. (Which isn't to say that Ullmark couldn't perform the same.)

I don't necessarily think that's true, I just think that Swayman has played out of his mind against Toronot all season, so they are rolling with it. I suspect we see them go back to the rotation after winning tonight.

Dont get me wrong I hear you...but this is one situation where I truly believe it's six in one half a dozen the other type thing. There are very valid & reasonable arguments to be made for either guy starting in goal tonight. I (very slightly) lean towards wanting Ullmark in net tonight.

Sway has the series. If we advance, I give Linus a start and then see where we stand after the first two games. Even spelling a goalie for a game a series could be huge for getting some rest as you advance.
