Yes, DeBrusk is skating out and away from the goalie, and it is the goalie who pushes forward to cause contact. There's no interference by Jake.No he doesn’t. He sort of touched him. If anything, the goalie caused the contact going to try to play the shot/draw the call.
Was just thinking that...didn't have much time for him in the regular season but he's really stepped it up.Nordstrom playing his best hockey of the season in the playoffs.
Yes the goalie kicked kick him in the skate outside of the crease. And you think that should be a no goal?No he doesn’t. He sort of touched him. If anything, the goalie caused the contact going to try to play the shot/draw the call.
They’re both heading in the same direction, toward the shot, after both starting in the crease. I think that both the rule and the application are inscrutable and the most inconsistently called play in sports, but I don’t have a huge problem with the call.Yes, DeBrusk is skating out and away from the goalie, and it is the goalie who pushes forward to cause contact. A lot more than their skates touched. I think it was close and far from the worst application of the rule I’ve seen.Yes the goalie kicked kick him in the skate outside of the crease. And you think that should be a no goal?
Not that it matters, but you also said the goalie created contact.. correct? They’re both heading in the same direction, toward the shot, after both starting in the crease. I said “if anything” in comparing it to the notion that the defenseman caused the contact. The argument that the goalie did is a better, more reasonable one.Not that it matters, but you also said the goalie created contact.. correct?
Bad stick positioning on his part. Can’t be perfect but he’s damn close.Watching all of Tuukka’s amazing saves makes the softy he let in all the more befuddling.
