So the NHL had three overtime playoff games tonight (one of them double OT, and another 0-0 into OT), and when I go to ESPN.com the main headline is the F-ing Bulls?
I wish the NBA would just go away.

The Deadspin story on it was very well done, I had been wondering why NBA Memes was moving everyone to a different page, made no sense.Has anyone else been following this Sarah Phillips story?

But how could the CL final-- not to mention the NHL playoffs, which gets marginalized too-- be more important than offseason NFL lawsuits or reports on the latest athlete-Twitter activity!I noticed that the only coverage of the Champions' League final on the front page has been a tiny sidebar. In other words, if one relied entirely on ESPN for the sports news, there's a very good chance they'd have no idea the game was even played. It seems odd that they'd almost completely ignore it on their website. I know Americans are supposed to be apathetic about soccer, but this is one of the biggest sporting events in the world we're talking about.
Turntable? That's turrable!Turntable is right. If ESPN airs it, they pimp the hell out of it, and then beat it dead with post-event contrived social media backwash.
On the flip side, with my primary interests being soccer and baseball, I often pull up the front page and wonder WTF I'm looking at. People really care deeply about the NBA?I noticed that the only coverage of the Champions' League final on the front page has been a tiny sidebar. Shut Up Jeff Van Gundy. The Heat not cheating Mr. Gundy. Why Mr. Gundy hates the heat beats me. Just announce the game Mr. Gundy. I rarely heard anything from you tonight about the fouls. If anything Boston is cheating. Mr Gundy only points out the Heat's fouls. It is relay starting to get on my nerves. For example Mr. Gundy did not point out tonight the fouls on James that Garnet made late in the fourth. Actuality James got called for that . James had the position on Garnet. Garnet went on his back and then pushed him. Some how James got called for that call.
All you clowns complaining about the FTs Mia is taking, take a look at how many they missed in gm 2! 16 FTs they missed and still won the gm! Mia shot 39% and Boston shot 45%! Boston just cant beat Mia and if you are surprised or one of the ppl saying thats why Mia is winning your a MORON! When the better team wins its not a CONSPIRACY ppl! Its what is expected!
And my personal favorite:Only thing good about the Knicks is that every star player likes to go their and dominate and destroy N.Y.!!!! take for advantage Jordan, he had some of his best games there!!
Slayer is a cool band
What a PPPPUUUUSSSSYYYY MIAMI SUX FUUUUCCCKKKIIINNNN BALLS THEY ARE THE MOST FUUUCCCKKKEEEDDD UP TEAM IN THE NBA YOUR REFS NEED TO GOO THERE FUCKKINNNNN BLIND!
Celtics are the only team that make getting a steal a boring thing
Send me 1 clip of Wade flopping. PLease do.
As for the Heat having bandwagon fans, you do know that the Heat has had a greater attendance average than the Lakers and C's since 2004, right? Look it up.
Check byline. "By Ian O'Connor." Close tab.ESPN.com's take on Tiger's bad day at the Open yesterday? Blame it all on Furyk. No, really.
Well put. What an awful column, I wish I never clicked on it.This truly was one of the stupidest, most inane, unrealistic Tiger-loving columns ESPN has written in the past two years. And there have been many of them.
Fenway is a dump.San Fran probably does have the best park. Or Pittsburgh. Or San Diego. Or Baltimore. Or Seattle. Or a lot of places. Not Boston.
My opinion is that Fenway is a great place to see a game every few years, but as a day-in day-out park it's a probably a hassle and not worth it. The Disneyfication of it isn't helping, either.Fenway is a dump.
You people are crazy. Fenway is the best place to see a ballgame in the world. The feel, the fans, the history of the park, just everything. Sure, there are some downsides, but I'm glad the Sox still play here, and haven't built there own version of AT&T or Target. It would be sacrilege. My opinion is that Fenway is a great place to see a game every few years, but as a day-in day-out park it's a probably a hassle and not worth it. Going to Target Field on a regular basis has really opened my eyes to how good a modern park can be (tough draw with Camden in the third round).
This is false. Fenway may be a landmark and a wonderful place to visit, but there are only a handful of worse places to see a ballgame. Have you actually been to a game at AT&T?You people are crazy. Fenway is the best place to see a ballgame in the world.
Ad Block. Don't understand why anyone puts up with ads these days. For the past few days, every time I click on an ESPN story link on the home page, I get a "Share ESPN with your friends" facebook popup I have to click out of. Not once per session, but every click. Any way to disable this? It's maddening.
I've heard that one or two people in this country surf from jobs where the IT guys wont let you install ad blocking software.Ad Block. Don't understand why anyone puts up with ads these days.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82a29323/article/chris-berman-to-call-monday-night-football-week-1?module=HP11_headline_stackESPNconfirmed a reportfrom SportsByBrooks on Wednesday that Berman will call his first NFL regular season game as a play-by-play announcer during the "Monday Night Football" Week 1 doubleheader nightcap. Dilfer will be his color man; Brad Nessler and Dilfer worked the game last year.
Well to me it's a given that if you're asking for workarounds on your PC, you have admin access. Obviously if you're totally locked down, you're out of luck. For the record, I'm an IT guy and don't like being a big douche to users. But it's undeniable that the less rights ya'll have, the less MBAM scans I have to run.I've heard that one or two people in this country surf from jobs where the IT guys wont let you install ad blocking software.
Can't decide if this is better or worse than when they let Mike & Mike do that game. It's like picking arsenic over hemlock.
Been fine for me..Well, in good news, the site's been down due to "technical difficulties" all day. Maybe they got hacked?
Funny, today I can get into any other page besides the front page. Weird.Been fine for me..
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/76920/a-vote-for-kevin-kolb-after-cards-4-0-startWe have a nomination: quarterback Kevin Kolb, whose box-score stats line up quite nicely with those of Aaron Rodgers, listed third on the MVP Watch.
But it is the one ring to rule them all."King of the rings"? Motherfucker has one ring!
