You know more people than the US read espn.com right?

There are ESPN sites for UK, Australia, other countries.  How much traffic do they get in those countries vs. the US site?  (Not snark, curious to know if anyone goes to these).

Not much. Unless we're redirected. If we're reading espn it's straight espn.com to read about American sport. Which we like.

It is a good thing if it transitions to become a better global sports site. I have, from time to time, clicked on football stories. Hopefully there are more.

Is that because you chose the US edition at some point because you walk in the light and follow the Red Sox or is ESPN Australia really not the default for IP addresses there?

Edit: Upon further inspection, ESPN Australia sucks. Retracted.

Yes - it's a non-starter that mostly exists because we have ESPN as a channel here and I think like once a day they do some shitty localised version of sporting news.

And we've come full circle. I was the one who had the temerity to bring this up last time. It's still stupid for the reasons other people said. Americans don't give a shit about Cricket, and I don't detect any mainstream growth whatsoever outside of a few small immigrant communities. ESPN frantically pushing it on Americans is extremely transparent and, to me, laughable.

Well, we haven't, because that was a joke intended through brevity to acknowledge the point DLew, a poster whose abililty you could never come close to touching despite the fact he's also an asshole, was making.

I know you didn't get that. I know you think by attempting to call back to some post no one but you remembers you making that you're going to finally get some of the credit you deserve even though you get hounded out of every thread you post in.

But the only thing that's 'frantic' is your search for relevance, the only thing 'extremely transparent' is that you're on the wrong board and the only thing that's 'laughable' is the size of DLew's fucking head.

How much of your self worth is wrapped up in your ridiculous Soxfan121-esque SoSH persona? Everything gets weirdly personal with you, and extremely quickly at that. You're the touchiest internet tough guy I've ever come across, so I guess that's something. Congrats.

Normally when you don't get something, champ, maybe it's a good idea not to advertise that quite so hard.

For anyone scoring at home, Syd isn't touchy, he's aggressively impish.

If you keep that in mind, you may end up reading him very differently.

What? No llama coverage.

I was at a bar last night and it had Sportscenter on and they had a segment on the llamas. There were arrows on the screen and it looked they were breaking it down like an NFL play. I actually thought the idea was pretty funny but I'm not sure how great the execution was because there was no sound.

What does separate have to do with the dominant/dominate error

"Separate" is very commonly misspelled. I would've considered it postworthy had they fumbled that too. As it happens, the post before mine was over a typo.

Well, they also didn't fix their exclusion of "in" before "the MMA," so there's that.

The issue is that ESPN has not only failed to reprimand his behavior, they have encouraged it. The more outlandish stuff he manages to say, the greater his stature seems to grow within the network.

So by First Take logic, does this make Brandon Graham a cornball brother*?

*yes, I'm aware Smith wasn't responsible for that particular verbal diarrhea

Here
I actually think that Screamin' A can be very articulate and well-reasoned, and he usually is. But he just has so many of these moments where he just loses it goes off the rails, and I'm not sure how much more of it ESPN will be able to take. I think part of the problem is that he's just on TV too much and they make he and Skip argue about the stupidest stuff to fill the slot sometimes.

Simmons can't call Goodell a liar but Smith can allege that Kelly is a racist (with zero evidence).

If you don't understand the difference there, you're not going to be able to understand the overall point.

And Simmons did more than call Goodell a liar - he brazenly challenged ESPN to suspend him. Then they did.
Right.

The difference is power.

What do you mean? He has evidence. He talked to some people in Philly about it!

By Chris Mortensen | ESPN.com

The New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks have agreed on a trade sending Pro Bowl tight end Jimmy Graham to Seattle for multiple draft picks and center Max Unger, according to league sources.
The Seahawks have offered a range of picks that would include at least one first-rounder either in 2014 or 2015.
Fox Sports first reported the story.
ESPN's Adam Schefter contributed to this report.

This is hilarious to me.  Mortensen "writes" the story, which is just copying and pasting a Glazer tweet (which at least they acknowledge).  Then, Schefter gets credit to - for what - dictating Glazer's tweet?
