2 games for me. 2 game 5s. Both after going W-L-W-W. Both with the other team changing their goalie. God fucking dammit.
1994 against Montreal, Game 5. Roy made 60 fucking saves that night. On my way home there was a nun by the T stop seeking contributions for something and I gave her 5 bucks and said "Pray for the Bruins, Sister." It must have worked as they came back to win that series.

1994, next round against NJ. I was taking a graduate class at BC and made friends with the girl who sat in front of me. We studied for the final together at her boyfriend's place. Her boyfriend was Charlie Jacobs lol. She gave me tickets to a playoff game. They lost in OT, I think it was on a John McLean breakaway.

And 2019, Stanley Cup Finals Game 2. Ugh.

Last night was the worst I've seen them play all season. My PTSD from last year was returning. So, I moved down into the basement and got on the treadmill for a run. Only way to channel the nervous energy. My dogs won't come near me. Same exact scenario as G7 last year. Once it went into OT, I finished my run. Last year they lost as I was finishing my run. I nearly killed myself as the f-bombs and hat went flying. I MAY have injured my drywall with a wayward barbell. THIS year, I hopped off the treadmill (for karmic reasons only, of course) and they came out flying and had 4 shots in the first minute. Then...the same result. WTF. I am at a loss. 3-2 is better than 2-3 but it feels dead even right now. If it goes to G7, I'll be working - no telling what could happen.

Exhale. Bs are the better team. No idea who has the net tomorrow but even so, we have better goaltending. I don't like the thought of Matthews and Nylander back together, though. BTW, I thought Woll was solid but he only faced a few dangerous chances - largely because the B's couldn't muster any sustained O-zone presence. If we get our game going, we'll open him up. I'm 0-2 lifetime in person. Maybe it's me?
