Did he? Patriots are 1-2 versus Lamar, I believe.Lamar in space is just unfair. Makes you appreciate how much Bill was able to keep him in check.

Sounds like the Pats actually did a bit of sniffing around this past offseason. And be a little angry that he didn't draft him.
223 yards rushing in 3 games.Did he? Patriots are 1-2 versus Lamar, I believe.
My memory (which could be faulty) is that he hasn’t been beastly in any of those games tho. He def. wasn’t amazing in the 2022 game where Mac got hurt.Did he? Patriots are 1-2 versus Lamar, I believe.
The only NFC team that Lamar has lost to is the Daniel Jones led Giants.Did he? Patriots are 1-2 versus Lamar, I believe.
one of these was a SNF monsoon I think. Just going from memoryMy memory (which could be faulty) is that he hasn’t been beastly in any of those games tho. He def. wasn’t amazing in the 2022 game where Mac got hurt.
Baltimore scored 37 in the Mac season. 37 in the 2019 win. And 17 in the 2020 loss.My memory (which could be faulty) is that he hasn’t been beastly in any of those games tho. He def. wasn’t amazing in the 2022 game where Mac got hurt.
Uh, Lamar has 7 pass TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 900 yards and only 2 turnovers with a 107 passer rating against the Pats.Lamar in space is just unfair. Makes you appreciate how much Bill was able to keep him in check.
Even crazier, but in that other league.Or the 2006 Cardinals...
Would have been better off handing him a check.Uh, Lamar has 7 pass TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 900 yards and only 2 turnovers with a 107 passer rating against the Pats.
Yes, kind of what I was getting at.Uh, Lamar has 7 pass TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 900 yards and only 2 turnovers with a 107 passer rating against the Pats.
Don't have to tell me, I spent the entire off-season arguing for them driving the Brinks truck his way.Would have been better off handing him a check.
That's slightly higher than what he's averaged since becoming a starter (about 65 yards per game).223 yards rushing in 3 games.
Good point. Peyton was also a guy who couldn't do it...until he could.Good lesson what a small sample size the playoffs is. You get there enough and good things happen. Lamar was 1-3 and now, barring a turnover or Tucker miss, they look to be about to be favored in a home AFCCG.
Lamar's running has been the difference in this game. He's got 82 yards on 9 carries and some huge conversions.Good lesson what a small sample size the playoffs is. So my memory is indeed wrong. Perhaps you guys can start a thread on it.Uh, Lamar has 7 pass TDs, 3 rushing TDs, 900 yards and only 2 turnovers with a 107 passer rating against the Pats.
It sounds too much like the accursed Braves chop, so I hate it.Jack White created a monster with Seven Nation Army.
I wanted Lamar in 2018. Bill was already set on not extending Brady at that point, so I don't see how much more friction it could have caused, at least that way they'd have a successor in place. And meh, there are 50 guys in the league who could have done what Michel did in that playoff run, they win those games with anyone running the ball.So my memory is indeed wrong. Perhaps you guys can start a thread on it.
Would love to know what the conversations were during the 2018 draft. We had a chance at him (and traded back? again, I can’t remember). And instead of drafting Brady’s successor 1 season after the Jimmy G/Alex Guerrero shitshow when it doesn’t look like we were planning on extending him long term, we drafted two complementary offensive players in Wynn and Michel – the latter of whom played a huge role in that year’s playoff run but was traded before his contract was up.
well manning got bailed out both times by all world def 2006 colts playoffs only also got a huge break when dallas and no lost and a all time def in 2015 when the real sb 50 was ne @ denGood point. Peyton was also a guy who couldn't do it...until he could.
Bill Simmon’s dad was very mad alarms didn’t take him. Mike Lombardi loved Lamar coming out (I think he knows Petrino). So my memory is indeed wrong. Perhaps you guys can start a thread on it.

The good guys just want another home game.Baltimore fucking SUCKS. Doing the chop?
Fuck off.
Fundamentally, the Texans’ offense hasn’t been good enough. Their TD was on special teams, and 1/2 for FGs in the 47-50 yard range is par for the course in these conditions. Just not enough scoring chances on O.In hindsight, this game ended the second Fairbairn missed the FG.
Why do you hate these great men?Could be a pretty good January/February for the Harbaugh brothers. Blecch.
Their O-line really got exposed today. Stroud hasn't had time. They could get fired up and do it at home against a Cleveland defense that wasn't as good as the numbers indicated, but this was always going to be a sterner testFundamentally, the Texans’ offense hasn’t been good enough.
