I think it's probably a long term thing as suggested upthread? Because Rafaela 1/Duran 2 is the same as Rafaela 9/Duran 1.

If there's something about Rafaela hitting mistake pitches it might make sense for him to get in before a pitcher is settled. But it would have to be a real skill to be worth it.
