Was totally in the same boat. Some of us are casual fans and also have family obligations. Oh well I guess. More dedicated fans got their money’s worth today.Yeah I watch like 5 CFB games any given year, so tongue firmly in cheek on that.
Thanks and same to you; we just got back from the house party and missed most of both games, did I miss anything exciting?.................................the college playoff has it all over the NFL version, unreal games.Happy Anniversary and Happy and Safe New Year!
Think of a famous missed field goal.So.. will this be known as a missed field goal or THE missed field goal?
He’s just making a ‘“THE” Ohio State University ‘ jokeThink of a famous missed field goal.
...OK, now think of another one. Not so easy, for most reasonable definitions of "famous", right? To go beyond Norwood, you have to squint and recall, say, Blair Walsh for Minnesota (or Georgia!), or Billy Cundiff for Baltimore vs the Patriots.
Missed field goals happen, and there's not a lot of narrative value to them, you can't imbue them with some higher sense of moral strength or failure. Just luck of the draw, or (as here) a sense of "how the hell could your play-calling let it all come down to a 50-yarder?"
Further proof that nothing good happens from staying up till 2am.He’s just making a ‘“THE” Ohio State University ‘ joke
Or just run the ball there and not get cute, or if they don't fumble on the 1 inch line.I wonder how that game plays out if Michigan just kicks the field goal on the opening drive.
Their QB is a winner who competes his ass off and gets everything and then some from his non-elite athletic ability, and I think that rubs off on the entire team and causes them to play above their heads, too. Just my hypothesis.Maybe TCU is actually really good? I certainly hope they give Georgia all they can handle and more.
Game turned out to be pretty fun anyways, thanks to the sieve that is USC's defense.USC vs LSU would have been more fun than what we got.
He absolutely lowered his headThat’s a confusing ruling. He sure looked like he lowered his head during that hit.
I followed Lincoln Riley's teams here at OU. Defense was never his strength, and Alex Grinch was no savior. It's surprising he brought Grinch with him to USC.USC probably wins the title with a bad defense. Instead they had a historically awful one.
Sometimes the end of field a team defends matters. What’s the point of doing an untimed down at the end of the 3rd Quarter?
To be fair the defense is mostly Clay Helton players.I followed Lincoln Riley's teams here at OU. Defense was never his strength, and Alex Grinch was no savior. It's surprising he brought Grinch with him to USC.
Ah. Well, if this year's Sooner defense was mostly Grinch players, it wasn't very good either. To be fair the defense is mostly Clay Helton players.
