I had the misfortune of watching that. How can you pick Wilson and Carroll over Brady and Bilichick? I'm so confused. What a bunch of idiots.

I don't get that either.  I'm probably one of the biggest Seahawks homers and I concede both of those to the Pats.

So, just a quick personal note: As a result of her putting up with my insane time commitment to the Patriots, I've agreed to a wager with my wife.  We both hate the pre-super bowl hype nonsense, so I have bet her that I won't check SoSH or NFL sites at all between tomorrow morning and the morning of Feb 1st.  If I do visit this site, she gets some nice jewelry.  If on the other hand, I stay on the wagon for these two weeks, I get... something I want.

The hardest part will be avoiding the SoSH Central football coverage, which I expect I will binge on, on super bowl morning.  You guys all bring it, and the quality of conversation here is what makes the place so damn addictive.  See you clowns when the big day dawns.

Hey everyone, I'm back.  Had a nice two weeks of watching tennis, getting outside a lot, catching up on some reading, cooking some new stuff... was pretty refreshing.  Totally stoked for the game today.

I'm gonna read a bunch of the SoSH Central coverage, but while I'm at it - were there any plot lines or stories from the media from the last two weeks that were worth following?  I've steered clear of just about every bit of NFL coverage starting the morning after the Colts game.

In case you needed a reason to hate the Seahawks.

If I knew what I was doing this was supposed to be a picture of Macklemore in a Seahawks jersey.

Not sure if serious, but if so, you are a wise, wise man.  You really don't want to know what the last two weeks of coverage have been like, but if you can't help yourself, read the thread in this forum with over 12000 posts in it.

Holy fuck I figured you had caved. Believe me when I say you have NO idea what you spared yourself from.

Considering how widely covered it was- you must have heard about deflategate anyway, right? If not, I'm thoroughly impressed.

Well if nothing else your struggle has helped to expose the most gullible of SoSH's ranks.

I wish so much that Rodney would turn to Dungy after what we all know will be Tony's sanctimonious view of Falcon-gate and say, "Swear to God, right here and right now, that your colts teams never did that."

I object to this witness being called at this time. We've been given no prior notice he'd testify. No discovery of any tests he's conducted or reports he's prepared. And as the court is aware, the defense is entitled to advance notice of any witness who will testify, particularly to those who will give scientific evidence, so that we can properly prepare for cross-examination, as well as to give the defense an opportunity to have the witness's reports reviewed by a defense expert, who might then be in a position to contradict the veracity of his conclusions.

I'm sitting next to Terry Francona in Vegas. He says Pedro absolutely knew he was coming in during game 7 of '04 ALCS. Says his claim that he had his shoes off and only had time for eight warmup pitches was horseshit.

Also thinks Pats will win today.

Someone really needs to change the thread title of either this or the gamethread, or it's going to be a trainwreck all night.
