What an absolutely pathetic showing this is.

Gave up 6 to City away, 5 to Liverpool away, 5 to Chelsea away.

This team was NEVER a title contender. What a fucking joke.

Tell me about the Gibbs red card - awful, bad or deserved?

And was Chamberlain as bad as the announcers are depicting?

Chamberlain with a hand ball. Which got Gibbs sent off. So awful, bad, and undeserved! The Ox even ran over and yelled, "Ref, it was me!" to no avail.

So, someone deserved a red card, just not the guy who got the red card?

Just a reminder: Arsene hasn't won a trophy since Match 497

If we bottle the FA Cup  he has to go.

I want him to go anyway but he HAS to go if he fucks that up.

Does anyone have any idea what Wenger was doing playing Ox as the holding midfielder alongside Arteta instead of Flamini?  Ox has good qualities but they are mostly about energy getting forward rather than defensive positioning and maintaining possession.  He never had a chance going up against the physicality of the Chelsea midfield.  In way over his depth, even before the idiotic red card.  That's the most bizarre tactical selection I think I've seen this year.

Strange that Arsenal showed Spurs much more respect last week than they did Chelsea this week.

Ox has been playing next to Arteta since Wilshere's injury. Bad choice for this game though.

What's amazing is that Wenger did THE SAME FUCKING THING as against Liverpool. Put an undisciplined player next to Arteta who pushes forward, have the fullbacks push forward too in an attempt to push the wingers back. And he got THE SAMEFUCKING RESULT: they pressed in midfield, won the ball quickly, and broke against the CBs and Arteta.

I am a Wenger defender overall but this is just mind boggling to me. Especially with our injuries, how could you be do stubborn as to think that we can push them back and dominate the ball without being exposed?

Not really.  Against Spurs and Everton in the cup, he played Flamini alongside Arteta.  I don't understand why Wenger played more defensively against a Spurs side that has lacked punch all season than against Chelsea.

It was Ox-Arteta starting in the pivot against Bayern and Spurs.

Thankfully I missed the game yesterday, just as I missed the first 25 minutes of the match at Anfield and wasn't at all compelled to follow the rest of the match. I suppose I'm now at the point where I really don't know what the right decision is with regard to Wenger - if he goes, I'll be kinda happy with that, but if he stays I'll kinda be happy with that too. So with my optimist's hat on, it's a win-win situation...or maybe it's a lose-lose, but we won't really know until we see the consequences of whatever decision is made.

You could think about Thomas Tuchel from Mainz05.

positives:
  • plays nice offensive football
  • works with lower budget than many other Bundesliga teams
  • brings out young talents from one of the best youth academies on regular basis (Kirchhoff, Schürrle)
  • outperforms expectations every year, it seems
  • speaks perfect english (studied english after player-career)
negatives:
  • contract runs another year (until summer of 2015)
  • very thin-skinned like Klopp when it comes to doing interviews after losses or talking about controversial ref-decisions
  • little international experience (i think it was one europe league participation)
  • no international pedigree/respect, when it comes to working with a roster full of international superstars

It is said he may leave Mainz after 2015, when he coached the 1st team for 6 seasons and may go to another team like Leverkusen, Schalke or to the Premier League. Only other spots in Bundesliga where i can see him is Bayern, Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Gladbach, but they are happy with current coaching situations. Schalke is unhappy after every loss and Hyppiä may have a hard next season, when Sam is gone and Kießling won´t score like in first half of 13/14.

Maybe Tuchel would be someone for Arsenal (lower budget than biggest spenders, improve young talent, offensive-minded, exceed expectations)...?

I suspect Tuchel is just not big enough of a name for people, and the lack of European experience is pretty worrisome.

My personal preference, if in the very likely instance that Klopp does not want to leave Dortmund, is for Frank de Boer.

The whole team sucks and the windows closed. There's nothing that can be done.

If Arsene's still so fucking great we should be able to beat goddamn Swansea at fucking home. This is such an utterly pathetic and gutless half of football. No pride at all.

If results stay the same tonight then Everton are effectively only 2 points behind them. Could Arsenal end up outside the top 4?

Not watching, but holy crap we need these three points and this early deficit isn't helping.

Still not watching, but holy crap we still need these three points and these 90th minute own goals aren't helping.
