I would feel a lot more optimistic about the second half if I knew the return dates of all of our injured players, esp. Schreiber, Houck, Story, and McGuire. (I don't look forward to many games with Alfaro catching. If his hair had some Sampson-like qualities, okay, but it seems merely decorative.)
I must be a junky, because I’m pissed that MLB did away with the Sunday night game pre-ASB. I still remember Mo going Downtown in ‘96.
Game day said the caught stealing in the 9th was Alfaro to Duran. I am guessing that’s at least half wrong?
The dream is alive! I'm amazed that I never thought of this as a fish name despite feeding my kids fish sticks on the regular.
Schreiber just had a rehab appearance.
Houck will start throwing next week.
Story should be back sometime in August.
The YES network is so petty. They showed the AL East and Wild Card standings after the final out and left the Red Sox out of both.
Power back on. @JohnnyTheBone delivered on the 5 game rip. I know he'll be working out during the break prepared for another rip.

Thought so. @InsideTheParker has the changes gameday showed, then they reverted and showed Martin still pitching and had the CS so wrong. I knew the Alfaro part was wrong, but wondered if there was some funky CF covering 2B deal going on
IANAL, but I don’t there’s any way to legally force a predicted rip of 5-games to end at exactly 5 games.
I'm thinking of going out to eat to celebrate tonight.

Saw a reference to it in the Teel thread (as a joke) , but is aqua man as awful as I thought at catching/receiving? Seems like multiple strikes/pitches were turned into balls. Plus the error..

It's obviously been covered, but I still can't believe Yoshida hit a ball at shoulder height over the monster. That's gonna keep me warm until Friday. Also, way to go, JTB!
I just tuned in to NESN for Sox in Two so I could see that incredible home run by Masa in the 8th. I usually don't use the word "incredible," because it's become a synonym for amazing. I mean that home run was hard to believe, the way he hit that FB so high and apparently near the end of the bat and powered it to the Monster seats. That guy is so so talented.
I didn't watch... that or the game. I have in the past and they were just awfully boring.
