He probably should, but.... the game is in Seattle, so I have a feeling it will be Julio replacing Judge.
Yeah with Trout out you need both a star and a CF. I still do think Verdugo also makes it for the other OF spot.

Checked box score. Argh. Cora had actually meant to say to his Bench Coach; “‘Kay, I’ll abort.” But when all was said and done, it amounted to the same thing.

This series is going to be another beatdown at home. We just don't have enough pitching right now. Texas is going to hammer the dregs of our staff.

Just as an experiment, I wish Cora would give Bernardino more of a chance against right-handed hitters. Not much good has come out of the series of pitchers he's marched out there today.

Weeeeeeelllll....

Coming into this game, lefties had a .333 OPS against Bernardino & righties had a .811 OPS.

The issue isn't a lack of decent relievers in the minors, it's that none of them are on the 40. Guys like Schreiber/Joely/Bleier will be back soon to take some of those spots.

I wish Cora was as aggressive getting Kike out of ballgames as he is Duran.

IDFK. I got nothing on pinch hitting for Duran. Nothing. Even if it is because he struggles against lefties, down 6-1 in the 7th is the perfect time to get him some experience there.

Now do Ort.
And Duran's #s against lhp are really bad, I guess?
What am I, a trained monkey? (yes, I guess I am)

Ort is .938 against lefties & .775 against righties.

Duran is .619 against lefties & .870 against righties (66 wRC+ against lefties, 134 against righties).

I agree, but time is an issue here. We get these guys when? After the ASB? We get swept by Texas, and have two bullpen starts against the A's. Judging by this bullpen, that won't go well, even against Oakland. It sends us to the All-Star break below .500.

Imo. Its most likely because of the field. And an elevated injury risk
