NESN 360 sucks as much as this game does. What a horrendous combination. Time to turn this off and find something un-painful to do.

I was going to get it but then I realized it’s 3-4x the cost of Netflix (with commercials) with this product and I couldn’t justify it

I'm digging out an ingrown toenail with a rusty switchblade
I recommend a carpet knife to score the cut line, wire cutters to snip as deep as you can, and needle nose pliers to finish up.

And yes, I have done this before.

How your cashflow is the responsibility of anyone in the Red Sox organization is a bit of a mystery to me. As is the underlying premise that you *could* afford to go to Fenway if Chaim Bloom wasn't such a horrible GM.

Is it funny? I'm not "buying" anything...well except mlbtv I suppose.

It has been 5 years since the Red Sox won a World Series. Before that, it had been 5 years since the Red Sox had won a World Series. Before that, it had been 6 years since the Red Sox had won a World Series. Before that, it had been 3 years since the Red Sox had won a World Series. Before that, it had been 86 fucking years since the Red Sox had won a World Series.

These are indeed dark days.
I can drive to Denver and watch a similar team for less money.

Same shit, different June. This looks a whole lot like last year when they fell apart.

NESN post-game is not sugar-coating things at least. Good commentary.

Hambone don't throw good.
Hambone don't hit good.
None of this is going into consideration for additions to my profile signature.

I know who @Hambone is, but who is Hambone in this game thread?
The Blizzard.
I'm open to new taglines. It's like I'm the freeze guy that people race at Braves games except he's fast and I'm not, so we have some thinking to do. I think I can pull it off though

Defensively,
Enrique isn’t a great MIF
Blizzard isn’t a great SS
Duvall isn’t a great CF
Casas isn’t a great 1B
(Yoshida isn’t a great OF)

other than that it’s a decent defensive team

Last year the team was destroyed by injuries. This year they're just..meh.
And the injuries to Sale, Story, Chang, Houck, and Schreiber this year are trivial? I do hope Masa's ouchie is temporary, b/c the lineup really misses him. Also, Devers is screwed up, possibly mentally.
Last night I gave up on this season, but I don't hate the players, the manager, or the general manager. Bloom has at least two shortstops, both of whom are broken. Yes, he could pick up Iggy, but it would involve some possibly painful adjustments to the 40-man, which are beyond my ken.
Wait till next year. (Sigh.)

I'm beginning to agree with this, unfortunately. Last year we had that terrible series against KC in early August where I just lost all hope for the season; last night that feeling started to creep in for me. Maybe they can still turn it around! But my optimism's been treading water for a while now and it's starting to get tired.

Not trivial, but more in line with a typical team's injury situation. Last year we were getting multiple appearance from the Sox 11th or 12th best starter. Nothing quite like that this year. And a couple of Bloom's scrubs (Reyes, Bernandino) have actually been pretty decent.
