I'm surprised they're gonna have Burr in the booth tomorrow, cause despite the fact that he's a sports nut, I know for a fact he hasn't been following the Sox closely for a few years.

Just looked at it because I'd been assuming ,and didn't realize Duvall had a basically neutral split against RHP and LHP for his career

did he run out of pine tar?

i imagine that happens to guys sometimes. they go out there and realize they forgot their tar, and it's curtains

Guy can't find the plate on two straight pitches, and you swing at ball one. this guy right now

Hope Duvall is patient here. If this guy falls behind again throwing junk off the plate, he'll have to give him a good fastball

As a huge aside, I’m also walking the Yankees game and Cole left the game in the middle of the eighth, got a nice ovation and then kind of tipped his cap but barely. For so many reasons, the tipping of the cap is a lost art but I’m glad he at least gestured toward it. Now the Mariners need to score at least two runs.

Youk's casual sarcasm is perfect for a Red Sox broadcast when they let him be himself.

Another run would be beneficial for the Sox chances at winning this baseball game
