"Hey everybody, Kirby Puckett is in the house. No, Kirby, I'm over here. Follow the sound of my voice. I'm not saying Kirby is out of playing shape but it looks like he ate Harmon Killebrew."
"Somebody told me that Rod Carew was Jewish. He denies it. But when Calvin Griffith sobered up, he figured out Carew was Black and traded him."
"When Billy Martin was the manager here, he made himself right at home. He got drunk and punched out his star pitcher in a bar."

Dean Martin had the best joke about Rickles at one of the roasts.

“A lot of people wonder why Don is so mean. There’s a reason for that. He’s been that way ever since he found out Eva Braun was two timing him.”

My favorie story about Don Rickles is he was ranting on an airport gate and a kid approaches him, recognized his voice as Mr Poatao Head from Toy Story. Had to change his whole demeanor right then.

Anyway back to baseball. Let's keep winning.

Tough matchup tonight vs. Bailey Ober. He has put together a good season so far, throwing the ball over the plate and keeping the ball in the yard. Tonight, we will need that "grinding" approach at the dish.

Great opportunity for Kutter to keep the momentum going. Need to keep the Belichick Approach going and win in all 3 phases - pitching, defense, timely hitting. Lets win a ballgame.

Red Sox did an awesome job of not leaving too many guys stranded last night…getting some big hits with men on. I expect the same tonight.

The strange ways and means of Alex Cora: a guy (Duran) goes 3 for 3 and he's benched the next night. Not a platoon thing either as Ober is a right handed pitcher, Duran a LHH.

I don't like that they keep moving Raffy in the order. Just pick 2, 3 or 4 and keep him there.

Cora seems to love him some Adam Duvall, although Duvall has been pretty awful since his return.

True, but they need to get Duvall going. He's their best-hitting RH outfielder, and they'll need the bat.
Reminds me of the grumbling and the gnashing of teeth over not starting Paxton in the doubleheader against the MFY. Hopefully, we get the same results and Duvall gets hot.

Another impressive offensive show
gave the Red Sox their 5th win in a row.
Double Duran was a real dynamo.
3 more two-baggers? That’s just status quo.
Catcher Christian Vazquez got in the flow
His game-tying homer made us shout, “doh!
(He had been traded but missed the memo.)
A big 3-run triple by Verdugo
gave us back the lead, and we watched it grow
as Casas crushed a pitch inside and low,
deep out to right for a majestic blow.
Paxton, Wincowski, and Garza would throw
terrific pitches to help the Sox sew
up a big win, 9 to 3, and although
the Twins are in first place, they’re a below
500 team and an unworthy foe.
It’s a pennant race. No time to be slow
and contemplative like HD Throreau.
Let’s go for the win with grit and gusto.
Be focused and fierce, provide a deathblow
just like Daryl Dixon with his crossbow
or a mad man as if written by Poe.
A Twin killing awaits. Let’s cause some woe.

Whew. I just made it with minutes to go!

Yeah, but why does Cora need to keep him in the 4 or 5-hole? .172/.294/.241 since his return. Bat him 8th till he figures it out. That'll extend the lineup.

This ump seems to be giving them both everything and then some so far. Wide, wide zone
