Easy to fall in love with how well Duran was hitting Lopez... but when you have the choice of a guy with 176 wRC+ against lefties & a guy with a 67...

At his best, he's an elite LHH beast. At his worst, he's a very good LHH power hitter. That's not a problem I am particularly interested in having "go away."
And some solid D. But at his worst he couldn’t hit a rhino in the ass with a fucking shovel.

That was a very nice defensive play. I guess that lately I dread his ABs b/c he seems to strand runners on base so frequently. I don't see him being flexible in his approach to hitting. He always seems to be trying to hit it out. Which is wonderful, except if it results in outs more often than not.

At an individual at-bat level, that's true of literally everyone who's ever played the game.

When he's going badly, this is totally true. But he isn't always going badly.
