It’ll be very different going forward. Feels like a very clear line of demarcation between the last 10 games and the next 10.
Honestly I kind of hope so. I’m almost having a hard time getting into these playoffs knowing full well there was essentially no chance of either first two series going deep. Idk if anyone feels the same way…it’s weird.

Aesthetics taking a back seat to getting the job done with minimal wear and tear.

So they’re 8-2 in the playoffs with a like +12 differential. Hasn’t always been pretty but so far this has been by far the smoothest run to the ECF yet. If it’s the Knicks I’m expecting a lot more juice to the games. It definitely won’t be pretty.
It’s so disappointing how this team just plays like those of the past.. what did that ‘86 team ever do after going 8-2 in the first two rounds..

My new favorite fan. It's like an AI version of Cheech and Chong as one person.
My Sister In Law was at the game, so I texted my brother that she was on TV, then sent the link. He got a chuckle out of it, and forwarded it on . I have a feeling I am free from family obligations there going forward.

I'm 99% certain Russell Wilson, Ciara, and kid were courtside next to the Cleveland bench, but I was opposite and they never put him on the jumbotron. I'm guessing he asked them not to, for fear of getting booed.

Speaking of the jumbotron, it went a little wonky in the first half, not unlike the Cs, but played hard the entire second half.

Oh, I was wondering about this tweet. Didn't recognize who "the Wilsons" were.

This is an absolutely ridiculous opinion I am about to type out…but I hate that Tatum indulged that loser Mook that long on that hug and whisper. Morris can’t possibly be telling him anything good for winning
Game threads are a great place for ridiculous post-game opinions, so with the possibility that my opinion is even more ridiculous, I actually loved it. As much as it drove me crazy during the game, and as little as I care for Mook generally, I have a shitload of respect for what he did out there last night. Facing elimination, woefully short-handed, playing a team that should crush them, the Cavs gave it everything they had and did so largely on the back of Morris, a 34-yo journeyman who had no business keeping his team in the game. Of course Tatum is the superior player and had an even better night, but two warriors meeting in the arena after the fight to share respect? Looooved it.

I feel this way 100%. I can't remember going through two rounds of playoffs like this in any sport. I'm not sure any team ever has gone through two rounds like this. I'm not talking about being huge favorites and winning the series in 4 or 5 games. That happens every year. I'm talking about being huge favorites and then having your opponent be down their best player, plus other injuries (Jacquez for Miami, Allen and LeVert for Cleveland), thus rendering completely unthreatening. It's bonkers.

I know it's been said before, but whoever does Janos is a true master of comedic language. The consistency, the arrangement of spaces and punctuation marks, the little spelling alterations that are somehow both plausible mis-spellings and hilarious ... it's just so well done. It quite literally makes my life better. I hope I never know who it really is because I don't think there's a way it couldn't be a disappointment. I want to imagine this weird little eastern european security guard who eats soup and boozes it up and loves the celtics forever.

Made me think of Checkpoint Charlie, which we went by a few years ago on a tour.

He kept making shot after shot, the most ridiculous one didn't even count (stepped out of bounds at the intersection of the sideline and the baseline, a prayer but an absolute bullseye)

prices for round 3 game 1 tickets are like half of prices for game 3 in Indy, it’s wild.
