The parquet has been a mixed bag for us in the playoffs, and I can't really figure out why. Since the start of the 2022 playoffs, we are 14-14 at home, which is downright bizarre for a team that reached the NBA Finals, the Eastern Conference finals, and are poised to again return to the ECF in that span. Meanwhile, we've been 18-7 on the road during the same timeframe. After falling to the Heat last year, POBOBS noted that we would've made the finals had we just played above .500 at home. The Celtics are now 3-2 at home this postseason, and we're not going back down to .500 tonight.

More Damaja mode from Jrue? Yes, please. A return of game one Derrick White? It'd be huge. The Jays continuing their hot streaks? If you get all three of these, the Cavs just can't compete, even if Horford continues to look like Shaq's epic season with the Celtics. Create opportunities and score--no settling for low-percentage iso shots, or kicking out when there's an open short-range or layup available. Stay focused--we should not be losing the turnover battle the way we did in game 4. Guard against the three. Do all these things, and not even Tyler Ford can slow down the run.

Injuries
BOS - Kristaps Porzingis (OUT - calf)
CLE - Ty Jerome (OUT - surgery), Craig Porter, Jr. (DOUBTFUL - ankle sprain), Jarrett Allen (QUESTIONABLE - right rib contusion), Donovan Mitchell (QUESTIONABLE - left calf strain), and Caris Levert (QUESTIONABLE - left knee bone bruise).

Logistics
7:00p EDT tip at the Garden. TNT/TruTV/98.5 FM/SiriusXM 86.

Total dud of a series/opponent with Allen and now Mitchell out, but oh well. Expecting the Cavs to come out strong but quickly fade into the night as the Celtics impose their will.

That Lavert injury happened on the weird JB charge-take attempt, right? We're lucky Jaylen isn't out, too. Just a really weird play you don't see happen much. JB sort of whiffed on it, other than their knees knocking, but got called for the foul anyway, even though it looked to me like he was set.

That was Okoro who drew the And1 and bumped knees with Jaylen. LeVert was just standing in the corner.

You know what, I take it back. God bless Max Strus. Because not only are the Cavs going to lose tonight; they're going to lose by 30 tonight; and then they're going to lose Mitchell; and then the cherry on top will be when the Panthers lose games 6 and 7.

So, thank you, Max Strus.

This series ends tonight. Send the sad sack Cavs to Cabo, Cancun, Campeche or Cartagena for all I care. I’m tired of their ugly mugs.

Really odd feeling for an elimination game. Get the Garden rocking early and often and the Cavs will have their shit booked to Cancun at halftime.

I'd like a 10 point lead in the first 4 minutes, just so no one on Cleveland team gets confused about whether they have any chance in this game...
