I thought that was it (turned toward second) but one of the umps pointed to the bag as if he missed itI thought he made contact too. If he turned to fair territory after crossing the base, however, he's vulnerable to getting tagged.

I thought he was out because he turned toward fair territory and not toward foul territory after passing the bag. Missing the bag entirely is even dumber.
I thought he turned in real time. Maybe I’m wrong.Feels like he turned because there was a guy in his way. Just split second reaction. Really weird play that I think they got wrong.
And not even replacement level."Defensive replacements"
Bwhahahahahahahahaha
They're pretty offensive, if you ask me.
Will have to go back and look at it but I feel the ump called him out upon being tagged when he stopped running. Not as long as he doesn't make a move towards second base.
Not in this particular caseCleveland's broadcast said he was awarded a hit… the gamecast I have up says no hit. That would determine what he was called out for – you can't get a hit if you never touched first base.
That last strikeout was a thing of beautyHouck is making them look like absolute dunces
Is it okay to mention them, though?CGSO are the new no-no's.
That’s pretty mean to a fifth grader.I think Hamilton was out because he turned slightly toward second. I did that once and was called out - in 5th grade.
That's what I saw too. Will have to go back and look at it but I feel the ump called him out upon being tagged when he stopped running.
Bu after he turned towards fair territory. Will have to go back and look at it but I feel the ump called him out upon being tagged when he stopped running.
Wacha in 2022Oh my. We’re on CGSO watch. When was the last time that happened!?

Maybe they need their own "Psssssssst..." thread like when there is a no hitter in play.Is it okay to mention them, though?

A what?Maybe they need their own "Psssssssst..." thread like when there is a no hitter in play.
That must have been a Monaco game because DOB is acting like he hasn’t seen one in years.Wacha in 2022
Good thing we didn’t wait, imagine how high the price would have been.8 more years!
The rule is "immediately return to the base." It does not matter which side of the line he's on as long as he doesn't make a move toward second. That was my thought. Instead of peeling off (like a normal little leaguer) he kept running in fair territory.
It will be interesting if anyone asks the ump after the game.
I’m not sure our hitting coach does much coaching. Why isn't the hitting coach getting Devers to cut down his swing and go opposite field.
Yeah, the ump also pointed at the base. The call was that he didn't touch, I feel pretty certain. The rule is "immediately return to the base." It does not matter which side of the line he's on as long as he doesn't make a move toward second.
