He was waving him home way too long before putting up the stop sign.
Nah, it's the runner's responsibility to see what the sign is when he gets to the bag. When he got there, it was a stop sign.
Agree to disagree

Walker should have looked up, but I don't understand the decision to send him in the first place, even if he changed his mind. That was a hold all the way. There was never a time when it seemed like he could make it.

Baserunners/humans aren't Corvette ZR1's, sign has to be there before the runner gets to the bag

In the end, it doesn't matter. It's a playoff thing. If you just miss a home run leading off an inning in the playoffs you just never score.

I was at a wedding reception in the Adirondacks, and that game was on. I was in a room with NYY fans, including my husband. I was the only one smiling.
I was watching in the shared house in Astoria, Queens, watching it with a buddy also from north of Boston and two housemates from Phoenix. We felt like the only four people in the entire city who were hooting and hollering. I'll never forget.

If the home plate ump had a real zone the inning would’ve ended before any runs.
Arizona got the bulk of the close calls at the plate last game.

Robo umps soon nonetheless, please MLB. In the meantime, some type of challenge system would be nice
