Wow Embiid settling for a 27-foot step back for the game with a bunch of shorter guys defending him??? What kind of play is that? Who’s the 76ers coach? (Looking.) Oh yeah!!!!!
This is a terrible take. You gotta take the last shot in this situation, and the really only good way to do that is to get an ISO. Embiid has gotta make a better move. You really can't try and get it to him down in the post, cause that isn't happening

Also, I thought that was a good block by OG on Harden. There has gotta be a better way to determine if it is goaltending or not. Can't they put a line or something across the screen right when the ball is touched, then go frame by frame backwards/forwards to see if the ball is above or below that line?

Come on, Chicago. Close this one out. Don't pull another Toronto.
To be fair Chicago has been getting screwed by the officials on both ends.. they've missed a bunch of shots, but even when Milwaukee was trying to intentionally foul Chicago they didn't call it.

Funny that they finally called an offensive foul on Giannis at the very most important time of the game, though.

even if he gets the basket its still chi by 3 with the ball. So good chance they win (they probably don't turn it over on the inbound??@@)

IOW .. a near useless make up call?

Yeah... i thought it was a pseudo makeup call. I don't fully understand what a eurostep is, but I feel like Giannis abuses the hell out of whatever it is intended to be. Feels to me like he travels ten times a game.

If they meet up with the Celtics.. I hope Smart stays right in front of him all game and doesn't let him get any built up speed.. just stop him at the three point line and stay in front of him. Easier said than done, but it seems somewhat similar to what they're doing with Durant.

If Middleton is hurt for any amount of time.. the Bucks are in trouble.

Basketball gods seem to be smiling on the Celtics' decision to sack up.
For sure. Celtics are now the favorites to win the Eastern Conference (+215). Long way to go, let's just hope they can keep up the defensive intensity and stay healthy.

Lonnnggg way to go, even in the Nets series, but things are lining up for the elusive GSW-Boston series we all want.
I was personally hoping for Warriors-Hornets, lol. But yeah, fear aside, Ws-Cs would be amazing. 58 years since their last (and only) finals matchup...

Edit: but yes, still super early times. For all we know we'll see a rematch of Bulls-Jazz or Heat-Mavericks.

Can't find a good video of it, but it looked to me like Tobias Harris did an especially egregious offensive lineman type block on Achiuwa on the last play of the game to free up Embiid.

I'm not going to litigate the merits of their run last year but now Phoenix can go through some of last year's playoff injury hell other teams dealt with

If people were wondering how the Grizz could be as good or better without Ja even though he averages 27/6/7 they should watch this game. MIN will go to literally anyone he guards. They're running plays for Pat Bev and he's WORKING Ja, then throwing up the "too small"

Wolves watched their 26 point lead dwindle to 7 with KAT and Ant barely touching the ball. Like 6 straight minutes of hideous PatBev isos and Jaden McDaniels throwing up slop. Wolvestown!
