2020 NLCS: Braves vs. Dodgers

Good job, kill the bullpen with a 2-0 lead
Atlanta has plenty of scrub relievers to throw out there - might as well try to keep it at 6-0 than totally concede the game just yet. (Also, the Panda has pitched in the past, as has Charlie Culberson.) And Wright might be needed in Game 7; keeping his pitch count down and his shell-shock at current levels is a good idea.

it was a matter of time before the Dodgers got some breaks... Mookie's speed and Smith's liner fading away from Pache's defensive positioning.

the Braves' recipe for this series is to win one of these where they're the home team, then Fried to close it out. It's very likely not this one, so we could see quite a tank tonight if the Braves offense has nothing early.

as far as "momentum" goes, the drop-off on the Braves' staff is steep, but it sure looks like Seager and Bellinger are seeing the ball better, two guys that have infamous postseason stats to date.

No one happier than Urias. Nice cushion to have before you even throw your first pitch.

So, is that what is referred to as regressing to the mean? 6 runs allowed through their first 64 post-season innings, now 18 in the last four.

honestly, and this will never happen, but the most optimal play here is position pitchers for the last 8 innings. get everyone a day off that needs one and focus your efforts on winning one bullpen game in the next two.

I guess Tomlin pitches like a position pitcher. put them out there for 100 pitches.

Thank you for that, maybe if more people respond that way that lame, played-out "Why can't we get players like that" gag will finally go away, like it should have 20 years ago.
I don't know if you heard, but J.D. cares. Hahahahahahaha!!!

Sometimes I really miss URI and his itchy trigger finger.

That's exactly why I am bummed. 44M payroll. Should have had 3 titles in 6 years.
Yup, me too...............I don't get all the love here for the Rays, there's nothing IMO loveable about them.

People have short memories apparently.

That organization for me will forever have the Maddon taint to it.

And those moronic cowbells.

Dayton already passed his career high pitch count no? They are gonna have to throw somebody useful out there eventually

I remember. I just think it's possible to push the reset button. Kevin Cash, a former Red Sock, is an excellent manager and likeable, in my opinion. And it's been a long time since Carl Crawford.
