I'm expecting Verlander for 8IP, 3H, 1BB, 0R. Stras to give up 1-3R. Question is if Osuna blows it.

Question is if Osuna blows it.
The Astors assistant GM won't like that one bit.

It's the Nationals year, just like it was the Blues year this year, the Capitals a couple of years ago, the Cubs a few years ago, ie, long time loser franchises that went on a run and won a championship.

The Nationals have been on a roll, winning the play in game in dramatic fashion, winning the NLDS in ever more dramatic fashion, then rolling the Cardinals, it's their year, good for them and their long suffering fans.

Soto is something else, a joy to watch, what a mega talent, that opposite field bomb he crushed last night was a thing of beauty, that kid has an extremely bright future.

Good for Zimmerman, good for Max, good for Strasburg, they got this.

And it's pretty telling that they did this after Harper left..................

Running opposite the game tonight on MLB Network is the documentary on Dennis Eckersly, "Eck: A Story of Saving. Really great story.

I wonder how much longer Joe Buck will be doing LCS and WS games. Really tired of him. At the track, at the waaaallll...
Last time up he popped a home run. Pop a home run?

Verlander sucked it up and held the line. His boys need to pick him up...but shaking my head thinking about Strasberg with an early lead.

Like Jim Nantz, it’s a lifetime job.
All well and good, but its my lifetime.

While I'll never pass up the chance for a wiseass remark, tbh, I have grown numb to both Nantz and Buck. They check all the boxes for p-b-p, and I guess I just dont care about the rest any more except to mock their peccadillos. Which would be impossible if they were gone.

And I was just thinking... FUCK ALTUVE scores.

Oh wait...

Listen, if the Nats win tonight, they might win the series in 5.

I don't care what the NYY fans on this site say, watching the Nats catchers just emphasizes what a liability Sanchez is behind the plate.
Sanchez has a great arm, but the "catching" part of catching really stands out here.

Nobody's catching that one.
