That last one was on Tucker. He was tagging instead of going halfway. Springer had nowhere to go.
I guess it also didn't help that Springer stood at home watching the ball.
He should’ve been right behind him. He’s either out on the catch or they run.
This sunk the Braves year after year. When your CY Young staff can manage only 5 or 6.
The pen is what it is. Nats needed more than 5 “gutted” out innings from scherzer, and they needed another inning from Corbin. But Corbin was shaky again.
He doesn’t do much wrong, so a bit uncharacteristic. We will see if it matters.

Watching? He was jumping up and down like he thought he was Carlton Fisk! Karma would have been if it were caught after that display of non-hustle, nevermind merely getting a double.
They need 8 innings from him tomorrow. He has been better than Scherzer and it has not been close.
If the Nats close the deal, anything could happen. They could actually pull off a championship.
But they have mortgaged a lot tonight. If they lose, I say Astros in 5.
