Up to Baltimore tomorrow. Should be fun.

Who should I root for?

This team infuriates me because they let teams hang around and do stupid shit like let Seattle go down and score easily, but a win's a win in January.

Man I think you’re rooting Chargers. I think Baltimore under Jackson is a horrible matchup for NE.

Chargers advance and they would be playing consecutive cross-country 1pm games. Nightmare for them.

Cowboys fans must be rooting hard for Philly tomorrow, right? They can take out LA. Winning in the Brees Dome would be much, much tougher IMO

If Dallas fans didn't learn to never root for Philly last year there's no hope for them. The sooner they go away, the better.

I hear ya. DAL dominated the game for the most part but they had some mental blunders that nearly cost them. The Dak endzone pick (yes it was DPI but he shouldn't make that throw into traffic) and the inexplicable defense at the end.

If the onside kick bounces first you can just lay out the guy trying to catch it right? I wonder how many you'd recover if you got an actual real rugby kicker and onside kicked every time if so, the good ones can pop up kick on a bounce to about 15 yards every time, some off either foot.

Of course if this is allowed the NFL would probably immediately make a rule banning it because it would be a massive safety issue.

I think that’s about right. Chargers are healthier now, very talented, and I respect the hell out of Rivers. But my concern is Ravens will beat the shit out of us on both sides of the LOS.

Oh yeah motherfucker, let me tell you how much my heart bleeds for you. On the local cbs, right now, the tv show being broadcast is about the ins and outs of the Jets Flight Crew Cheerleader tryouts.

I'm all aboard the Chargers bandwagon. If Philip Rivers and his band of Southern Californians can come into Foxboro in January and win, so be it. But, I'll take that matchup all day and twice on Sundays over a Baltimore team that has already done it here in the playoffs once.

How many players are left from the ravens that won in foxoborugh? Can't be many. That was the 2012 season.

You've obviously never watched the show "Making the Team" or whatever it is called, which follows the Cowboys cheerleaders from tryouts to training camp and final cuts, etc. I think it's in like it's 10th season or something. They've even got the Jets beat on that front.

Jerrah created the Cowboys' cheerleaders show on CMT at the peak of their mediocrity under Campo and then Parcells, so I've seen that too.

I know these teams have these shows, but this is on post game. It started at 11:35

Thanks for bringing up the Campo years on a night the Cowboys win a playoff game. You have successfully reduced all Cowboys fan's buzzes.

It's not so much the players I worry about in a situation like this, it's the coach. He obviously knows what it takes. They won't be intimidated, weather won't faze them, their defense is stout (and when we lose in the playoffs, it's usually our offense that falters). San Diego/LA Chargers in Foxboro in January? I'll take my chances.

Eh...I still think I'd take the ravens and their shitty QB. But you make some valid points.

You know what else you’ve seen? A dynasty.

I’m just messing around anyway. Phi is going to beat you in your house in two weeks and I’m going to laugh and then I’m going to remember Jesters haven’t been in playoffs in 8 years and I’m going to cry and that’s life.

I’m with this. It’s Harbaugh that you worry about.

Also, Baltimore is averaging 230 yards a game on the ground since Jackson became the starter and NE allows 4.9 yards per rush which is toward the bottom of the league. I don’t think there’s a worse matchup in either conference for NE than BAL.

The Pats are 19-3 at home in the playoffs in the Brady/Belichick era. 2 of the 3 losses are to Baltimore, and 1 to the Jets.

They simply don't lose to the warm weather/dome teams here in January. Houston, Jacksonville, San Diego, Indy over and over again, couldn't get it done. Rivers and Tomlinson and Gates and Co. came here in 2007 for the AFCCG, and they were on an 8 game winning streak, had just beaten Manning's Colts in Indy, and they scored 12 points that day on 4 field goals, even though Brady threw 3 interceptions. Rivers will choke here again, just like he did then. It was 23 degrees with a wind chill of 9 that day.

Call me crazy, but I don't want to tempt fate with the one team that has any type of success in Gillette over the years.

Beating the Chargers isn't as fun. They don't have a fanbase. Bring on the Ravens. It will be 10 times more satisfying beating them in the playoffs.

The Sox World Series wouldn't have been nearly as sweet if they beat a no name Oakland team, Cleveland and Milwaukee.

If we get #6, I don't care if we win by forfeit against the Little Sisters of the Poor Convent.

Fun fact, current Foxboro forecast for Sun 1/13 has snow starting around 10am.

If you are ever in LA I would be down to meet you for drinks.
Done. And if Flacco is not the QB I don’t care about playing the Ravens. I still hate Suggs, but most of the team has turned over. Still, I like the Chargers and Rivers so I’d be sad to root against them. Whatever. Just win.

Please give me the team that has a QB that can't throw the football. Thanks.

I'm shocked by the number of people that want the Chargers.

Bosa and Ingram terrify me with their ability to create pressure without blitzing. Give me the rookie the rookie QB any day of the week.
