And Jeez, why are we worrying about the Damn Eagles. Looking too far ahead. Let's worry about the Chargers. Please! We're on to San Diego, we're on to......ooops Los Angeles. I've never heard so much hate for an NFC team. Even the Giants who the Pats lost twice to in Super Bowls. Because they beat us???? That hate should be reserved for the Dolphins and Steelers and Ravens and Jets and Colts.

Can’t we get someone like that for English broadcasts? That’s awesome. Instead we get Tess’s theatrics.

Who thought the Chargers were going to blow that game to the Ravens? I did! I mean for more then 3 quarters they dominated but seemed to choke at the end. They did come up big but, I really thought the Ravens were going to pull it out.

The Yankees and their miscreant fan base.

But we need not rank order hated teams and fanbases. I will easily stipulate to anything you want about Ravens fans. I was at the Monday night game there in 2007. What a hideous lot of life forms.

But now, in 2019, I have the unique pleasure of living on a block in northern NJ with six, count em six, rabid Eagles fans on it.

My hatred knows no bounds.

And yes, thanks Nick Foles for the help with the bye. That was nice. Now go fuck yourself.
Your salty tears taste like champagne to this Eagles fan.

Worry? No worry. It's not about looking ahead. The Pats may not even make the Super Bowl. Moreover, if the Pats had gone 0-16, I'd hate the Eagles just as much. Being disgusted by a win such as that one has almost nothing to do with a possible SB match-up.

And really, we're legislating reasons to hate another team? Sports hate is generally irrational to begin with. Hell, the team I hate the most -- the MFYs -- is actually good for my team, because they create the perfect foil. Even more so, this whole sports fan thing is itself irrational The Pats winning and losing makes me no healthier, richer, physically fit or anything else I might want Yet I live and die with them every season. As to Eagles hate, I have a long list of reasons and only one of them relates to last year's abortion.

So yeah, hate the Ravens, Fins, Steelers, Jets and Colts. Huzzah to that. But also hate whoever else the heart hates. Including those damned Eagles.

Glad to help.

Though will be thinking of your salty tears when your Eagles fly into a buzz saw this coming Sunday.
As a Pats fan, I hope you're wrong and that Foles Magic carries on and takes out a loaded Saints team that the Pats would have a hell of a time trying to beat should they be fortunate enough to reach the SB.

I hear that. My sense is that every team left in the playoffs, except maybe the Colts and Cowboys, would give the Pats real trouble. And really probably them too. I think that the Pats can beat anyone and that anyone can beat them. To wit on the latter, the utterly mediocre Dolphins beat them and even if you look past the miracle ending, it was a reasonably close game throughout .

So while I take your point that the Saints are a very tough out on paper, I think the Eagles would be, too. And I actually like Drew Brees. Not that I would like to see the Patriots lose to his team. But the hostility level is and would be a lot different for this Pats fan.

Fair enough. Playing the Chargers will be tough but if we lose, it won't gut me like a loss to Baltimore would have so I can understand where you're coming from. I do agree that every playoff team remaining would be a handful for the Pats. The pretenders have been weeded out and the real teams are left. But if I had to rank the teams I'd feel least comfortable playing, New Orleans would be at the top of the list.

With Trump in the Whitehouse you almost expected an Eagles vs. Ravens superbowl. The Deplorabowl. Just get them all in the stadium and then turn it into a prison.

This is the best angle I've seen. No doubt it was tipped.

So in fact the Bears season ends on a triple-doink.
I watched a couple of the recaps that NFL Network had this morning and strangely on neither did any of the four analysts they have on the show mention the ball being tipped. One of the clips did appear to show the ball’s rotation get changed a tad, but again no mention of it. So, Parkey is off the hook if it was tipped, I guess.

Edit, on a later NFLN show it was mentioned that Treyvon Hester tipped the ball on the FG attempt, as the videos clips show.

NFL has officially changed the scoring on the play to a blocked field goal

You know - I thought it was tipped. Said that before it even hit the upright. I must have Superman eyes.

I have no ill will against the EAgles. In fact, I sort of love the Nick Foles sucks then comes off the bench and is awesome for four games before sucking again thing. I think it’s interesting.

I love Rex's logic. If a team blows a 3 TD lead but still has a chance to win on a 43 yard FG and the kicker misses....F that guy. You had 1 job and let everyone down!

Dude is such a clown.
yup... there is a reason no team wants to interview him

The Lakers have slightly passed MFY for me. But it's basically 1A and 1B. Like or hate the Eagles you can't deny they have one of the most loyal and passionate fan bases. Not just football but in all of pro sports. 13-3 or 3-13 they are just as loyal. Just not very hospitable to opposing fans to say the least. And the Philly fan base can be very provincial also. I live in the Philly area now so I know.
