Horford bad at both ends so far. His inability to make a shot is allowing Embiid to clog the lane

JVG is so wrong here. You can't always do that. You can only do that when a player isn't paying attention to where he's going. That should always be an offensive.
This confused me, too. Like, wouldn’t his position on this basically end the pick and roll?

That doesn’t seem awesome for the game, and I’m not sure his “guy running down the court” distinction is useful or actionable bere.

Who’s worse than van gundy, breen and Jackson?

name a crew. Any crew
A few years ago I was at a Celtics game early and I walked right next to Mike Breen. I enjoyed telling him how much he sucks and how he ruins national broadcasts

JVG is such a fucking stooge.

Defending the FT disparity because Boston takes so many 3's.

Looks at box score, Celtics have attempted 14, Sixers have attempted 13. Yet, fouls are 11-5 and FTA are 17-5.

Fouls 11-5 Philly. JVG tried to make the case that Philly has gotten more FTs because the Celts shoot a lot of threes, but Boston has shot 14 threes, Philly 13

“When you shoot as many threes as Boston you’re not going to get as many fouls called”. We’ve attempted one more three.
And we've attempted 4 more shots inside the arc than Philly has.

Jaylen Brown is, per the box score, the only Celtic that has been fouled while taking a shot. He has all 5 FTA.

Does Tatum need to have a Red Bull or something more time before game start time?
It’s weird. He’s so good but he has these games where he looks so timid early. And then the terminator comes out in the 2nd half.

Regardless of their experience/insight, Breen and Jackson grate on me. Van Gundy is barely tolerable. Prefer almost any other announcing team.

Yes—exactly this.

And let’s hope for tonight, yes?

Embiid is the best player on the floor, not too debatable sadly.

I don't like to make a big deal about individual games, but without doing any research.... Tatum seems to have these no shows pretty often (not always) in big games.

Are his 35+ point games against bad teams more often than other elite guys?

Embiid usually is, the twist is his health/minutes

He has enough no shows that it removes him out of MVP consideration until it stops.

I mean, the guy just scored 55 on a team of all-stars!

I went to the game log and I think 6 of his 16 games of 35 or more are against likely playoff teams.
