Anaheim might be the weakest team in the playoff picture right now with a +2 goal differential. (The Sharks technically hold the West WC2, but the Flames are only 2 points behind them with six games in hand.)

Banking these two points would be very helpful before the Bs head out west.

Is it just me, or does that 3rd line look sick as far as third lines go?

I've seen more vicious hits, but that probably stays at 5.

EDIT: Wow, the Bs catch a break. That wasn't much of a push, though. All forearms.

so we can call boarding... could have sworn it was no longer a penalty after that last couple of games...

Anaheim was better in basically every facet of the game in that period. That was hard to watch.

I also suspect Steen is going to get a face full of fist at some point. I don't think there was "intent" in that hit, but it is one that needs to be out of the game.

Between here and everywhere.

Comtois tried to get him to go towards the end of the period, but you're right. Steen is going to have to answer for that.

I don't particularly want him to but it was a pretty dirty hit. And a dirty hit to Deslaurier, the guy who punches dudes in the face for hitting his teammates. They basically HAVE to go after Steen for him.

6 shits on goal in 25 minutes against a middling' team at home is pretty much empirical confirmation of the collective sentiment on the board

How many times do they give up a goal or at least a great scoring opportunity within 30 seconds of getting one? I think it was less than five seconds from the face-off there.

and they just missed an insanely wide open net, but how was it not a high stick to knock down that puck or was it a bruin?

Tuuka looks really shakey, expectedly so I guess.

Need to skate in the 3rd period and blow this team out right out of the gate. These are 2 points the B’s need.
