Agreed, but I wonder whether there are some umps who take offense at his mannerisms during an at-bat, and might be inclined to make borderline calls against him

Feels like theft to walk out of it with a lead. Morton is tough, hard slider down after hard slider down.

There was nothing borderline that AB - and frankly I thought he showed remarkable restraint with one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen on a pitch

100% Acuña was safe, but it was still a surprisingly slick turn. Especially with Arroyo possibly IL bound with the thumb.

Umpires are notoriously thin skinned babies, however. E5 might be on to something in the long term.
