My feeling on the linebacker's on this draft is that Beli is 70 years old and has been doing this for close to 50 years. When in charge of a draft, he has always drafted the same prototype at LB'er. 6'4ish, 260 poundish type of guy. You usually dont get more flexible the older you get, especially with someone who has a long long track record of succeeding with this type of player. I understand the game is changing and that the Pats got eviscerated on defense towards the end of the year. However, I am hard pressed to believe that Beli will use a premium pick on an undersized linebacker, whose best attribute is that they can fly sideline to sideline. If you are not big and can shed blocks, I dont think you will fit in this defense. Maybe the new linebacker from Cleveland means something, I just dont see it.
