Patrick was born and raised in Jamaica. His english was probably better than I stated, but he was shy and uncomfortable with it. while at ridge, opposition crowds chanted you can't read, you can't write, and his signing day press conference was uncomfortable

I commented on that earlier. It is ugly, and the tailor did a terrible job with the jacket, it doesn't fall right at all

Well yes but in most areas a very bastardized version of Creole English.
What the hell do you mean by bastardized? As if the English in the US or UK are “pure”?

For the Bagley fans, how do you see him fitting in the NBA position wise? He was a bad defender in college and couldn't really block much. Ayton was a poor defender as well, but at least you see the body and can project the shot blocking eventually coming around... His shot doesn't look good so I don't really see him playing the 4 or knocking down a lot of threes despite the tiny sample size of success he had at Duke.
4/5's are pretty interchangeable and with your position really determined by who you defend I'd call him a 4 but able to switch on multiple positions effectively. I disagree that Bagley was a bad defender in college......Coach K is playing to win games not to showcase his guys for the NBA. Judging how Bagley played zone defense in the paint with no space isn't indicative of how he'll be used moving forward. I was impressed with how he moved his feet in switches against guards. I don't agree with his shot not looking good either, his mechanics and rotation are fine.....he's never had to shoot from the perimeter even in his pickup games against pros when he did whatever he wanted off the dribble with his first step and explosion to the rim. After a slow adjustment period in November, Bagley hit on 19 of 43 three's for 44%.....that's a super strong baseline with a ton of upside.

Ayton receives the Curse of the Sun. Somebody rescue Bender and Chriss before they disintegrate.

Jamaican English has a lovely lilt, but it's not particularly comprehensible to outsiders. Boston English does not have a lovely lilt, and it's not particularly comprehensible to outsiders. Mutual incomprehensibility is what they have in common, and Ewing was famously shy and quiet, which didn't help.

Everything proceeds according to pre-draft order so far. Bagley has a great handle (for a big) and a great 'do (for anybody at all).

His voice says I'm happy to be in Sacramento.

His face says I hope I got that right.
