You're not being a dick at all. It's a legitimate question. And I don't have an answer. I guess I find him weirdly compelling. I go to another channel as soon as he gets annoying but I do go back. But I'm less and less tolerant of him so the time I spend listening gets shorter and shorter. BTW, he's difficult to avoid. He's on everything. Plus 'EEI is a disaster area.
I'll give you an answer. As bad as things are there -- and they are pretty bad with the epic collapse of 'EEI -- they always could be worse.
In my town, Tony Kornheiser is revealing himself as a complete dick -- an old, bitter, extremely thin skinned punk, the sports vision of Donald Trump. It's bad enough that he assumes the mantle of
Pravda during the Soviet era, defending his indefensible butt boy Danny Snyder and, worse, just ignoring clearly newsworthy stories that cast Snyder or the 'Skins in a negative light. Now Mr. Tony feels quite entitled to go after everyone -- especially women reporters -- with a meat cleaver, but then tears up like the schoolyard bully the minute someone even feigns to respond in kind.
Increasingly, Kornheiser is a hypocritical fraud, at least in my radio market. Thankfully, he is no longer in a position to pollute national football broadcasts. He's unlistenable, and it's a shame because he is talented.
