Does anyone have screenshots or stills of Arthur Blank and his wife on the sideline? Those were exquisite.
I alternated between feeling bad for them, and feeling smugly satisfied because I hate, hate, hate when owners come down to the field prior to a game ending.Does anyone have screenshots or stills of Arthur Blank and his wife on the sideline? Those were exquisite.
I usually enjoy the hell out of Magary but his last post was just sad. Christ man, it's just fucking football.Magary's Patriots/Boston Hate Boner is embarrassing at this point. He's over the edge.
You need to read it from the perspective of tasting those deliciously salty tears. When you do that it's very entertaining.I usually enjoy the hell out of Magary but his last post was just sad. Christ man, it's just fucking football.
The Patriots had the TOP advantage and Brady was well on his way to a 350-yard passing performance when they were down 28-3. Golic may well not have been objective on the show, but I don't see anything seriously objectionable in what you're saying.Putting aside a game lasts 60 minutes, not 45 .... (and to be fair to Golic, he did tip his cap to Louis Riddick, who said on the show after the conference championship games that to beat the Pats you have to bring it for 60 minutes).
Where's the credit for the Pats' defense? Or, correspondingly, criticism of Falcons' offense apart from the bone-headed sacks and play calling?
That's where the analysis and any sense of objectivity fall apart at the seams.
News bulletin: you cannot gain a 2-to-1 TOP advantage, nor can you rack up 470+ yards passing, if your opponent is sustaining drives.
Falcons did nothing, nothing, after their 3rd quarter TD.
Anyone heard from Ron Borges Bill Maher Shank Felger or Mazz since last night?

His heart wasn't really into it. He just wanted to rage incoherently at everything. He's usually far more clever than that pile of feces.I usually enjoy the hell out of Magary but his last post was just sad. Christ man, it's just fucking football.
That is great. I've been notified that morning Globe delivery is delayed until noon due to "production problems". Volin tweeted that he had an article ready to submit that he had to rewrite entirely.
At least he didn't call him a cornball brotherOld friend Rob Parker: Brady isn't GOAT, he is LOAT, Luckiest of All Time.
Felger will surely take great solace in LGB's forgettable performance. And as other haters have done, there will be a lot of emphasis on how ATL gave it away.Anyone heard from Ron Borges Bill Maher Shank Felger or Mazz since last night?

I just prefer to GLOAT.Old friend Rob Parker: Brady isn't GOAT, he is LOAT, Luckiest of All Time.

Same exact thing here, just replace "Steeler" with "Raven."I live in Steeler country so my Facebook feed was unbearable for 95% of that game. I loved the absolute meltdown following the game and I will continue to enjoy it today. My students will be livid and I will walk into that classroom and just smile. The amount of hatred around here for the Pats is incredible and this will just ratchet it up even more.
Sure. I agree with all that. And I'm loving it. All I'm saying is that I didn't hear enough evidence of Golic's salty tears.Fourth quarter and Overtime:
Atlanta:
- 0 points
- 13 plays
- 59 yards
New England:
- 25 points
- 36 plays
- 276 yards
The rules require teams play the entire game. That last 19 minutes was a complete and utter domination by the Patriots - so much so that it overcame whatever else happened in the prior 45 minutes.
You gotta play the whole game. The Patriots did.
No social media.Guys you don't want a 2004 equivalent. A 2004 equivalent would be the Jets or somebody doing this to the Patriots. This is more like 78 or 03, in that the hated dynasty came back. I really don't get why the Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers were feted like gods while on their rolls, but whatever.
I don't either, but I am enjoying the replay watching Arthur Blank dance his little jig after the pick 6 to give the Falcons a 21-0 lead before the half.I dont really have a lot of schadenfreude from the Falcons losing.
Blanks' stare.Does anyone have screenshots or stills of Arthur Blank and his wife on the sideline? Those were exquisite.
It wasn't as creative as most of his offerings but I found it amusing. His heart wasn't really into it. He just wanted to rage incoherently at everything. He's usually far more clever than that pile of feces.
There was a great moment where she looks up at him with an expression of dread. It was beautiful. I can't find it anywhere. Also, I missed the jig and would love to see that.Does anyone have screenshots or stills of Arthur Blank and his wife on the sideline? Those were exquisite.
Good point. But I've always been interested in stories of crushing defeat no matter the victim. I love hearing about champagne getting quickly wheeled out of locker rooms, etc.Blanks' stare.
(I do agree; I dont get any particular pleasure from his defeat. He's not Snyder or Haslam )

She's like, "Shit, I gotta suck that wrinkled dick later..."
Mike Greenberg said some people were blaming Blank and his wife for the loss because they came down to the field so early. Greenberg bailed them out, saying they come down to the field early all the time.Does anyone have screenshots or stills of Arthur Blank and his wife on the sideline? Those were exquisite.
Keep in mind he typically watches at 1/2 normal speed...Did McNabb watch the same game I did?
The video was better. She was staring at the ground, knowing what was about to happen. Then she slowly looks up at him to see how he was doing.
He looked like he might pull a Brunell walking through the Patriots.Michael Strahan looked crestfallen during the trophy celebration, too.
I was going to say that it's post's like Magary's that give NEP fans that extra pep to be loud and boisterous about the team. If no one else cared, the mouthy Pats fans wouldn't have anyone to be mouthy toI usually enjoy the hell out of Magary but his last post was just sad. Christ man, it's just fucking football.
"Arthur Blank looks like a waiter at a resturaunt that exclusively serves ghosts"By all accounts he's a decent dude, but Arthur Blank looks like a cross between Gomez Addams and every Bond villain ever. Plus maybe that Rocky and Bullwinkle baddie.
Different national media perspective at those times. Not the 24/7 hysterical cycle of Hot-takez that exists today so national media tended to be more about celebrating greatness. Now you gotta fill the void so the model is to build a team up ('01-'04) and then tear 'em down ('07-today).Guys you don't want a 2004 equivalent. The Cowboys in the 1990s were vilified a bit for their off-the-field troubles...mostly near the end of their dynasty (like 1995-onward). But you are right, if there was social media back then, it would have been at a fever pitch 1000x worse. The 49ers got off the hook nearly scot-free.Different national media perspective at those times. Plus the "scandals" amped everything up to 11. Which is funny because the 49ers in particular did a bunch of nasty stuff during their dynasty as well, but it was ignored at the time. See: previous point about media cycle.
