I had my 1st date with a girl one day, 2nd date with her the next day, & on the 3rd day I had to explain to her that I had plans to meet up with a friend from a poker website & her husband, both of whom I had never met before in person. I invited the girl to meet us there thinking there was no way she would...she showed up, it was only a slightly weird situation, I asked her to be my girlfriend that night, & 12+ years later we've been married for 10 years & have 2 kids.

I think the moral of the story is don't be afraid to meet random people on the internet? Maybe more so since I met my wife online to begin with...

"Anonymity?" Lol. Like what's the big secret about having a guy on your SL roster who couldn't get minutes on a young developing team while seemingly not improving in 3 years? There are worse things you can do than a favor for Bartelstein. He's another guy who was born a several decades too late.

ESPN reporting today that Wemby will be playing in the Vegas summer league with the Spurs but not Sacramento. First game on Monday.

Udoka will be lucky to capture a Boston 2-way to be the Celtics break-the-glass beef center

Booked my quick trip to summer league with my son. In Tuesday morning, 3 days of games, out late Thursday night. We had a great time last year and are looking forward to another great time.

Mann for OKC had just an absolute monster dunk in this game.

holmgrens straight line speed is glacial right now.
I thought he looked pretty good in help defense? Also seems to have gained at least some weight and not look like a complete and utter freak now, so that has to be promising for OKC.

That's his calling and will be his niche. I'm not buying him being a star at all but he can be a very good help defender/rim protector in space. I think his value once he matures will be in that he doesn't need the ball offensively to make an impact on a game but can finish when opportunities present themselves.

Different body types and games but feel like the Aaron Gordon model is what’s best for him. He won’t be leading a team to a title but he can be a key part of one.

Good comp. That's his ceiling right there imo. Very similar stylistically.

Agree, although because the good version of Chet has a lot better rim protection than the good version of Gordon, it's probably more valuable.

Is he that different from TL, but with the potential to have a jumpshot and some non-dunk finishing?

TL's defensive athleticism on the perimeter & his ability to recover once beat is something Chet will never have...then again TL will never have Chet's shooting touch on offense.

I always thought Chet comps were KP/Unicorn-type?

He is slightly bigger but it will take years for Chet to fill out. He got bullied by Micah Potter one time, which foreshadows how NBA players will attack his body. Go right into Chet's chest, instead of trying to avoid him

Chet is going to be a tough cover. Against centers, he can space the floor and shoot the three, and against smaller covers he can go to his pull up and turnaround game, or actually get to the post and McHale them, as he did in his first SL game. Lots of tools in his bag, as another Drew Hanlen client.

His slight frame is a bit concerning, but he’s always been a chopstick, and has always got his. Despite his looks, Chet is a killer. He will put it on you when he ever has a chance, and I really like that about him. He can cover a lot of ground to protect the rim. If he can stay healthy, Chet should be in the RoTY conversation on an up and coming OKC team.

There's no really good comp for Chet's upside. Injury last year decreases his chances of getting there, though.

I'm obviously concerned about his health but remain really high on Chet. It was his first game in a year and obviously it isn't like he has a ton of experience before he got injured playing at this level, but the skill set is so tantalizing. He was eating people at the rim and making them think twice about going into the paint, he's got moves on offense and can score at all three levels, and just does some real freakshow stuff attacking closeouts, eurostepping around defenders, and finishing with his left hand.

Watched 5-10 minutes of Memphis game. Man do they like their beefy players, Marcus is going to fit in great there.

Roddy and Lofton will be a lot to handle for SL teams in Vegas.

ESPN's app on my TV is so bad. You load it and it lists the Spurs/Hornets game in Spanish but not English. But it's still listing the game that just finished. The biggest summer league game and ESPN can't get it featured on their app? I shouldn't have to hunt for it.

People that design streaming apps seem unbelievably bad at their jobs.

You go to their website on my laptop and click and you can find it, but you get an "This event has not yet started" but if you click on the Spanish version it's got pregame.

Kareem is just a cool customer. Too bad he has to be tainted by being associated with a garbage NBA franchise.

No Doris, Wemby is not a "playmaker more than anything else".

Yeah nobody can stop that (turn around finish off the glass). Smart will try when the Spurs play the Grizzlies.
