Just did some more research on these - there are 30 pin to lightning adaptors, but none of them seem to pass audio.

So if I got a new iPad, what can I do with my old iPad 2? It works perfect and is in perfect shape, battery lasts 10+ hours.
canderson said:Wrong thread but fuck it - I'm stick rocking an iPad 2 but had Comcast internet installed at the house and get about 150 mp/s down now and it's crazy how slow it is compared to our phones and computers. I assume it's simply because it can handle my new Airport Extreme's ac bandwidth.

It almost certainly does have to do with wifi speeds. The iPad 2 IIRC has wifi N but doesn't have a MIMO antenna which limits the speed it can connect at to much lower than N is capable of, never mind AC. It shouldn't be painfully slow but it won't be fast enough to max out that kind of Internet connection.NortheasternPJ said:
Why are you assuming it's your wireless? Do you have any AC capable devices? There's not a ton out there.
iPhone 5S don't support AC, neither do the current gen of iPad Air.
The iPad 2 may be slow for other reasons, with newer software updates it is slower due to them being resource heavy and apps being built to later platforms.
I'd highly doubt it has to do with your wifi speeds.
It's not lagging slow, it just takes a few extra seconds to load a webpage. When coming from the Mac that is instant or our phones that is instant it's annoying as shit.NortheasternPJ said:

Bluetooth issues are an iOS 8 bug resolved in the upcoming 8.1 update.IpswichSox said:Anyone having Bluetooth connectivity issues with the 6? In my car, I can play music, listen to podcasts, stream and even download my phone's contacts. But I can't talk hands-free on the phone. I've deleted the device, and re-paired a few times. It works once, then I can't make or receive calls via Bluetooth, which is a problem because I usually return calls on the drive home and part of my drive (in DC) is mandatory hands-free. Some forums indicate it's at least a known problem. Some suggestions have been to reset all settings, but it doesn't appear that's a universal fix. Pus there's the hassle of manually reconfiguring all my settings. Anyone have a similar Bluetooth issue with the 6? Or ideas on how to fix it?

Two Air 2's stacked on top of one another < OG iPad

I'd be willing to bet that their balance sheet has very little do with the improvements they have made in the thickness of their latest devices.
I don't get it for phones. I don't have an opinion about it for the IPad. But who cares that the new IMac is 5mm thick? Good for you it is a desktop computer, yay i guess.jayhoz said:I am going to ask this for the 1,000th time. Is anyone dissatisfied with the thickness of their mobile device? Apple's fixation with thin is baffling. The first thing they said about the new iPad was how thin it is.

yeah, but if he watched 5 games in separate windows simultaneously, each would be maxed out, correct?zenter said:
You do know that the games will max out at ~1K resolution, right? 1080i is the highest broadcast resolution, and 1080p is the highest cable/streaming resolution. Non-theatrical resolutions are not likely to rise above 2K in the next 10 years, long after the computer is dead.
I'm honestly not sure how 5K matters at 27 inches. It might be nice on larger screens.

Economies of scale and control of the retail channels.NortheasternPJ said:That iMac at $2500 is tempting. I would never buy one buy still.
The new iMac makes this article on the Verge look pretty silly as Apple now has released an all in one computer with a 5k monitor while dell is working on a standalone monitor and it's also priced at $2500. Wonder what Dell will do now and how the fuck apple put a full iMac into that price tag if dell was going to price their standalone monitor at the same price. (and maintaining huge margins)

Can you expand on this? I'm not being snark but seriously curious.
Is this a matte vs. "glossy" argument or is Apple using "shitty glass". Does glass in front in non-bright lighting really render a 5k display useless?
1080p is not the highest streaming resolution. It may be for some services, but streaming 4k is certainly possible and sometimes done.zenter said:
