You're wrong and you're willfully missing everything that many people have tried many times to explain to you. Figure it out soon, Steve Dullard.
Sorry if the attempt to question this simple "black and white" issue is causing you frustration. Just do me a favor and answer the question I posed about what was it that makes this a simple black and white issue.
I would not use "dick" or "bitch" in public (though I probably use "bitch about it"), for the same reason I would not use other inappropriate gender neutral language like "asshole." But in private I would use it based on the gender of the person. The reason I am not "getting it" in this discussion, or even more, am resisting it, is because people are not only saying the word and dick or others should not be usedon radio, but rather making a further leap that the person using it must be sexist. I know that is not the case in my instance, so am resistant to the further leap than many have made that Minnihane using it is a sexist.

And man calling another man a dick as a pure descriptive is a just a wee bit different than a man calling a woman a "gutless bitch" in the context of a verbal attack, "I hate you. Drop dead."
I would get it if you stopped at the first part, that a man cannot refer to a woman as a bitch in any context. But you seem to recognize that that is not enough, so you bring in the other stuff, which blurs the line. So, is it that
(1) that the b-word is equivalent to the n-word and so that no man can ever use the word bitch when referring to a woman,
(2) he went over the line in attacking one person, regardless of gender,
or (3) you think his words belie that he is sexist/Misogenistic?
Is it, (1), (2) or (3), or a combination of each? If he only referred to her as a bitch, should he be suspended? If so, is it civility, or sexism that he offended -- if he only did (2), i.e. told her to "drop dead" and called her "gutless" would that be OK? What if he only did (3), and showed pure sexism by objectifying her and talking about Jenny Dell's breasts, but didn't use the b-word, should he be suspended?
I have no trouble adding "bitch" the the seven George Carlin words. I just think it seems that if you go down that road to try and snuff out sexism, using (1) and not (3) is the most facile and least effective way for addressing sexism. If any of you (or Fox Sports) really want to combat sexism, beond simply furthering sexism by taking an unprecedented step to protect a woman's virtue (which they would not do if someone had insulted Troy Aikman, etc), I suggest a different approach. My frustration with many of the responses is that they accept (and embrace) the broader sexism inherent in the industry (i.e., replacing an used up eye candy Pam Oliver with a newer eye candy Erin Andrews, embacing Heidi Whatney for replacing Eric Frede, Fox Sports' Jay Mohr making fun of Allysa Millano's weight) while adopting some standard that can make them seem enlightened. I look forward to how Fox Sports starts using this new policy of protecting all of its employees.
edit: and just to be clear and to distinguish myself from others, from the start I have maintained that the most offensive thing said was by D&C (and apparently the MFB folks) suggesting that Andrews benefitted from the crime.
