This. I vote we don't trade a pile of things for Paul George to leave the team in 1.5 years. Adding PG does not beat GSW or Cleveland in a 7 game series.
If he had 3 years of control on him, that would be different.
Really? Why? The celts pick would be 25-30 and the grizz are likely to still be in the playoffs knowing them. George is a massive upgrade over crowder. I'd do this in a heartbeat.
Are we at the point yet where the tweets come in saying "The Pacers and Celtics haven't talked about Paul George in a month"?
Misread the 2018 pick as one of the Brooklyn picks, doesn't matter, that trade is still an overpay.

If you're worried about a player leaving in 16 months even though you can offer him the most money and a chance to compete for a title then your team has much bigger problems.

Plus with a ton of young talent, some stashed in Europe, and a ton of first round picks coming their way.
That's not being stuck in purgatory. That's a team making a very real and significant stride forward over the course of a few years. That is real team building.
I do think, though, that they need one more major piece at least.
I agree with this. Horford signed with the Celts despite the Celts losing to the Hawks in the playoffs. I think he would want to stay, but if he doesn't, that's a larger problem
He's going to join a loaded roster of guys who were definitely signing in LA. League's not gonna be able to stop that Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George core.
So who on here told me I was wrong when I said Indy would want Crowder/Smart, Jaylen, and BKN17 for PG13?
Indy is not going to trade him unless they get the farm.

Simmons is more like the Flaming Wild Sun in Cosmic Wimpout. Goes with anything (or worth nothing if you so choose).
They can also just sign Gordon in FA and keep everything. You also don't necessarily need Crowder if you have him + everything else, so you can trade him for a big in the off season.
I would think about it if we're only talking rest of this year, perhaps...but Noel is either really expensive or gone after this year.
I'd probably trade him for Okafor too. Bradley is injured a lot, and his contract is coming up. He'll want 17 million a year or more. No thanks.
How's he going to drop bombs if he can't work the phones?

Well as a practical manner, I assume the show would be a mess if he was there. I doubt he could chew gum, babble on tv and tweet at the time.
