Paul George with an all world 4 point play to win it. For some reason, Philly puts the ball in Simmons hands, who can't shoot from deep, so he has to give it up at the last second and Butler didn't have a great look.

Well, last year Smart had a lower field goal percentage overall than Russ has this year (36.7% for Smart, 41.5% for Russ), but better from deep (30.1% for Smart, 24.1% for Russ)
I saw Simmons bringing the ball up the court at the end, and my first thought was, "Now he's going to be forced to shoot a 3." Nope! That lack-of-shot selection is going to magnify the heat he's taking for this, methinks.

Russ has never been a good shooter, but it's really amazing how bad he's been this year. 24% for 3 (30% career) 64% FT (81% career) and about 35% midrange. His mid range game makes Giannis look like a sniper. Basically every shot he takes outside of 3 feet is a terrible shot.
Yeah he had an open unrushed three for the win.and passed it awkwardly to Butler to take a rushed double-teamed three. He probably shouldn't be on the floor in those situations.

Just saw Doncic's ejection. Got his first T for arguing a call early on. Then after a timeout was called, the ball was bouncing in front of him, and he gave a halfhearted kick and kicked it into the stands. Didn't really even seem like he was that upset. Seemed to catch him off guard that he could get ejected for it, as he was kind of smiling as he walked off the court.
Just saw the replay on ESPN. Turned his ankle pretty bad. Couldn't put weight on it.
Zubac needs to get a little more aware of his surroundings with the ball in his hands. It's like he doesn't understand that NBA defenders are fast.
Any time Houston gets upset with the refs, regardless of whether or not it's warranted, I just can't side with them. 50% of their offense is predicated on James Harden taking advantage of the rules.
He wasn't even looking to make that one. He literally took the shot, and jumped sideways to try to get a foul call, and it just happened to go in off the bank. Fucking ludicrous.
To be fair, Ingram’s gone to the line a couple times in the fourth on some egregiously bad calls.
The league is overall in a great place right now, with tremendous talent all over, great pace of play, compelling personalities and narratives - but the officiating is embarrassing.
If you get free and catch it, throw it up in the air as high as you can. By the time it comes down, game over. Don't hold it and take the foul.
Not an LA fan, but I generally root for the underdog in situations like this, and I dislike Harden's game so much that I have trouble rooting for Houston ever.
