Hopefully for the sake of humanity that's the only thing about him that is infectious.Talk about an infectious laugh (mostly toothless guy).
Well played.Hopefully for the sake of humanity that's the only thing about him that is infectious.
Thanks for translating, I was curious as to what the real story was behind this.I just watched the original video that Downfall-esque subtitle is made from, thinking, "what could possibly be this funny?"
The guy being interviewed, Risitas, had a bunch of odd jobs in his career. One day they're cleaning a restaurant that's about to open for the summer, they clean till 2AM and then tell him to take these 20 moldy paelleras down to the beach, tie them up to a stick, and let the seawater clean them overnight. He goes down, the tide was low, ties them to a stick, goes to bed, he wakes up in the morning and it's high tide. Only finds 1 of the 20. He walks into the restaurant and they go ballistic, end up sending him to Sevilla and make him pay for the replacements.
That's it, that's the joke.
Why'd you need to watch the original? The Spanish was the same.I just watched the original video that Downfall-esque subtitle is made from, thinking, "what could possibly be this funny?"

Agreed. Something about the laugh and the perfect "dialogue" timing. Top 10 all time.Videos like that is why the Internet was invented.
Sounds like this might not end well... Anyway, good reason to watch the Sun Bowl."They got their eyes set on the North Carolina quarterback," one rival scout told the Daily News. "The Jets are all over this kid. All over him. They'll probably deny it if you ask, but they love that kid. That's their guy. They're not going to get him though, because I think that kid is going to get over-drafted."
I also recommend we shutdown any "Hey, if we get the 2 seed we can avoid X in the Division round" discussion.Get the bye and rest the starters later. Don't want a repeat of last year in the slightest.
The boat has sunk“I am going down in the boat with Ryan Fitzpatrick,” Marshall said, according to NJ.com. “OK? You got it? Can you not ask my any more questions about it? I am going down in the boat with No. 14.”
I freaking love this quote, because he doesn't realize (or maybe he does?) that he is conceding that the boat is, in fact, sinking.
Where is SSF???
http://nypost.com/2016/12/29/darrelle-revis-im-an-all-time-jet-and-should-be-treated-with-class/“Would I love to be here? Yes,” Revis said in an exclusive locker-room sit-down with The Post. “Will I be back? That’s a great question. My thing would be this: Do the New York Jets want to treat my situation with class or no class? With me being one of the best players in the history of this franchise, do they want me to retire here or not retire here?
...
“I’ve been one of the best cornerbacks to ever play this game,” Revis said. “I’ve done a lot of things in this league that a lot of guys currently playing are chasing now. I’ve impacted the game in a way where it was like, ‘Hey, he doesn’t give up any catches to the No. 1 [receiver].’ I set a precedent.
“So, I’ve done enough. Obviously, everybody’s a little bit concerned because that’s not what I’m displaying anymore. I can’t stay 24 [years old] forever. Every player ages in this game. You’ve got to understand that.
Revis situation getting uglier and uglier:

He was smart; he got a good salary for that one year knowing it was a setup for the next big contract, he played for a great team that won the SB, and then he cashed in. It worked out here because he could still play and it was in his best interests to perform well. I don't think it was a miracle at all, the circumstances were right for both player and team to benefit and both took full advantage. It's a damned miracle he worked with the Patriots for even a year. Bullet dodged.
Given the incredibly short end of the stick that most NFL players are given, and seeing as it's the J-E-T-S, I'm fine with whatever Revis can shame or con them into.Revis wants to be paid for past performance, and many teams would do just that. But the numbers work against him this year because it would be relatively painless to dump him.
Still, he got $39 million guaranteed. I don't think he has much to gripe about.
I have total respect for how Revis has treated each contract fully as a business decision and has maximized his earnings with some short-term/max dollar deals. But this is the contrary to that -- the equivalent of fans saying a player should give a home team discount. Nope -- it's a business both ways.
These two posts are absolutely spot on. And if Revis gets out with most of his health, then he comes out a winner. Remember, Revis is the nephew of Sean Gilbert, who has been outspoken and proactive through the years about his distrust of the league and the union in how players are compensated and treated, and has been Revis's football mentor since high schoolHe was smart; he got a good salary for that one year knowing it was a setup for the next big contract, he played for a great team that won the SB, and then he cashed in. I see nothing but the ever-so-shrewd Revis trying to play the Jets once again. This man fully knows what he's saying and how that may be perceived.I have total respect for how Revis has treated each contract fully as a business decision and has maximized his earnings with some short-term/max dollar deals. But this is the contrary to that -- the equivalent of fans saying a player should give a home team discount. Nope -- it's a business both ways.
His year in New England was pretty much this kind of deal. I absolutely think Revis is the kind of guy who would take a one year deal to set himself up for one more big payday, Im just skeptical he still has the chops to do it.Revis doesn't seem to me to be the kind of guy to take a cheap "prove me you can still do it" deal, which is the only way I'd be in favor of bringing him back.
But this was at a time he knew he could wring another multi-year contract out of someone. I doubt that's happening again. His year in New England was pretty much this kind of deal. I absolutely think Revis is the kind of guy who would take a one year deal to set himself up for one more big payday, Im just skeptical he still has the chops to do it.
We do if Matty P jumps ship.We got a spot for Pepper? Come home...
I would just go with "diaper dandy".Here's a new title line for you: "2016 Jets: Never Changing Their Used Diapers"
"Brandon Marshall with an interesting analogy for the Jets' 5-11 season: "The best way I can describe it is, having a diaper on and never changing it. And just sitting in that diaper the whole year. That's how our year was. It was a bad year." (Courtesy: Inside the NFL, Showtime.)"
