Talk about an infectious laugh (mostly toothless guy).
Hopefully for the sake of humanity that's the only thing about him that is infectious.

This video is gold all the way through on so many levels; my favorite line is "I could wipe my ass with 2 million dollars and still have 10 million dollars left" or something to that effect.

The part about Bowles is great too about how he doesn't watch game film and watches Gladys Knight and the Pips videos instead.

And that show set is all world, from the wooden chairs and the chair the guy with all the missing chiclets is sitting in.

I just watched the original video that Downfall-esque subtitle is made from, thinking, "what could possibly be this funny?"

The guy being interviewed, Risitas, had a bunch of odd jobs in his career. One day they're cleaning a restaurant that's about to open for the summer, they clean till 2AM and then tell him to take these 20 moldy paelleras down to the beach, tie them up to a stick, and let the seawater clean them overnight. He goes down, the tide was low, ties them to a stick, goes to bed, he wakes up in the morning and it's high tide. Only finds 1 of the 20. He walks into the restaurant and they go ballistic, end up sending him to Sevilla and make him pay for the replacements.

That's it, that's the joke.

Thanks for translating, I was curious as to what the real story was behind this.

The Spinach Chin version is better.

Speaking of which, I sent this to a customer of mine and his reply was "That was hysterical; I don't get why he was talking about Fitzpatrick though, how did he know so much about him, are these American football fans in another country?"...................I had to dial it back and explain to him what it actually is................honest to Christ.

Why'd you need to watch the original? The Spanish was the same.

Per Mehta (link provided, but don't click it if you don't want him to get the clicks), Jets are jizzing themselves over UNC quarterback Mitch Trubisky.
"They got their eyes set on the North Carolina quarterback," one rival scout told the Daily News. "The Jets are all over this kid. All over him. They'll probably deny it if you ask, but they love that kid. That's their guy. They're not going to get him though, because I think that kid is going to get over-drafted."
Sounds like this might not end well... Anyway, good reason to watch the Sun Bowl.

Would the Pats be well-served to treat this game as only semi-important, and rest a few key starters? With a bye guaranteed and a #1 seed still achievable even if they lose / Oakland wins (by winning at Miami), it might be good to get Jimmy half a game, and even better to get Hightower more rest for his knee, let Edelman take fewer hits, see more of what we have with a deeper rotation in some positions, etc.

“I am going down in the boat with Ryan Fitzpatrick,” Marshall said, according to NJ.com. “OK? You got it? Can you not ask my any more questions about it? I am going down in the boat with No. 14.”

I freaking love this quote, because he doesn't realize (or maybe he does?) that he is conceding that the boat is, in fact, sinking.

Where is SSF???
The boat has sunk

Jets DT Leo Williams with a stinging indictment : "Guys weren't ready to play. We didn't really play with a lot of passion, a lot of enthusiasm. It seemed like we were out there, going through the motions. Me, personally, I play hard every game. I know a lot of other guys on this team do, but some people are probably looking past the season, thinking that it's over and stuff like that."

Revis situation getting uglier and uglier:

“Would I love to be here? Yes,” Revis said in an exclusive locker-room sit-down with The Post. “Will I be back? That’s a great question. My thing would be this: Do the New York Jets want to treat my situation with class or no class? With me being one of the best players in the history of this franchise, do they want me to retire here or not retire here?

...

“I’ve been one of the best cornerbacks to ever play this game,” Revis said. “I’ve done a lot of things in this league that a lot of guys currently playing are chasing now. I’ve impacted the game in a way where it was like, ‘Hey, he doesn’t give up any catches to the No. 1 [receiver].’ I set a precedent.

“So, I’ve done enough. Obviously, everybody’s a little bit concerned because that’s not what I’m displaying anymore. I can’t stay 24 [years old] forever. Every player ages in this game. You’ve got to understand that.

Nice attitude. Dude comes in fat and out of shape, gives 0 fucks, then shrugs it off, "I'm old, you gonna respect me or you gonna fuck off?"

Maybe he could put some tootsie rolls in his socks then actually, you know, work hard.

Revis showing his true colors there. If I am the Jets I wash my hands of him this off season and just pay him 6 million in dead money to go away. He is more a distraction than a solution at this point.

I have total respect for how Revis has treated each contract fully as a business decision and has maximized his earnings with some short-term/max dollar deals. But this is the contrary to that -- the equivalent of fans saying a player should give a home team discount. Nope -- it's a business both ways.

Revis wants to be paid for past performance, and many teams would do just that. But the numbers work against him this year because it would be relatively painless to dump him.

Still, he got $39 million guaranteed. I don't think he has much to gripe about.

It's a damned miracle he worked with the Patriots for even a year. Bullet dodged.
He was smart; he got a good salary for that one year knowing it was a setup for the next big contract, he played for a great team that won the SB, and then he cashed in. It worked out here because he could still play and it was in his best interests to perform well. I don't think it was a miracle at all, the circumstances were right for both player and team to benefit and both took full advantage.

Actually nm, it seems that article is inaccurate. All other places say his hit would be 6 million if cut.

Given the incredibly short end of the stick that most NFL players are given, and seeing as it's the J-E-T-S, I'm fine with whatever Revis can shame or con them into.

These two posts are absolutely spot on. And if Revis gets out with most of his health, then he comes out a winner. Remember, Revis is the nephew of Sean Gilbert, who has been outspoken and proactive through the years about his distrust of the league and the union in how players are compensated and treated, and has been Revis's football mentor since high school

Not going to happen but would be hilarious if Pats took Revis again and he became close to what he was in 2014 after an offseason of actual training.

I see nothing but the ever-so-shrewd Revis trying to play the Jets once again. This man fully knows what he's saying and how that may be perceived.

Either he wants the full $$$ for 2017 or wants to get released (gtd for $6m with offset language) and play for a SB contender.

If Revis ever returns to the Pats next year, I fully expect him to be as hard-working and quiet as he was in 2014 (albeit as a safety).

2. Say goodbye: There will be a massive -- repeat, massive -- roster overhaul in the offseason, so this could mark the final game in a Jets uniform for many household names. Players on the bubble include Marshall, Richardson, Darrelle Revis, David Harris and Calvin Pryor. Marshall, Harris and Revis are potential cap casualties, with Richardson and Pryor candidates for the trading block. Revis and Harris are future members of the Ring of Honor. Frankly, I think Harris will stick, but Revis is a likely goner.

Any chance Brandon Marshall and Revis retire?
Any chance either or both wind up in N.E. on a relatively short-term deal? As pathetic as his effort has been this season, it's not out of the realm of possibility that Revis refocuses via respect for BB/peer pressure and puts out more than his pathetic display in 2016.

Revis doesn't seem to me to be the kind of guy to take a cheap "prove me you can still do it" deal, which is the only way I'd be in favor of bringing him back. He knows he's on the back 9 and looked to me like a guy who was mostly just trying to get out of his football career without a serious injury. Maybe he re-focuses this offseason with a view towards getting another one year deal with someone for big money again, but I am doubtful.

I think either someone gives Revis another stupid contract he can't turn down (which won't be the Pats), or he retires.

Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey retires. ESPN reports he told Bowles before the season it would be his final year.

His year in New England was pretty much this kind of deal. I absolutely think Revis is the kind of guy who would take a one year deal to set himself up for one more big payday, Im just skeptical he still has the chops to do it.

But this was at a time he knew he could wring another multi-year contract out of someone. I doubt that's happening again.

I guess it depends on your definition of "cheap". The Pats paid him $12 million bucks in 2014. I'm skeptical that Revis will be willing to put his health on the line at this stage of his career for something a lot less than that.

Here's a new title line for you: "2016 Jets: Never Changing Their Used Diapers"

"Brandon Marshall with an interesting analogy for the Jets' 5-11 season: "The best way I can describe it is, having a diaper on and never changing it. And just sitting in that diaper the whole year. That's how our year was. It was a bad year." (Courtesy: Inside the NFL, Showtime.)"

I would just go with "diaper dandy".
