* Tufts is clobbering Cortland, 13-4 heading to the 4th quarter. The Red Dragons got on the board first, and they took a 4-3 lead with 3 seconds left in the 1st quarter. Since then, it's been all Jumbos. It was 9-4 at halftime, and the Red Dragons have gone more than 30 minutes without a goal. John Uppgren had a first-quarter hat trick for the Jumbos and has 4 goals on the day. Beau Wood also has 4 scores for Tufts.

RIT leads Union 4-0 behind four different goal scorers at the end of one quarter.

EDIT - And Tufts adds another to make it 14-4 in the opening minute of the 4th as Wood gets his 5th.

EDIT - Cole Bailey joins the hat trick brigade for the Jumbos with their 12th unanswered goal. 8:49 left to play.

EDIT - Cortland breaks out of their icy stretch as Matt Rokoczy becomes their 5th different scorer of the afternoon. 15-5 Tufts with less than 5:00 to go.

EDIT - And it ends as a 15-5 Tufts win. Credit to Patton Watkins (14 saves) who appeared to settle down in the Jumbos goal after a rocky start. Cortland's 41 shots nearly match Tufts' 45, and 19 Dragon attempts were on net.

--------------------------------------

* RIT leads Union 4-0 behind four different goal scorers at the end of one quarter.

EDIT - The Tigers boost their lead to 7-0 on a man-up goal by Allister Warren.

EDIT - Jon Andrews gets the Dutchmen on the board. It took them 21:11 to find the net.

EDIT - Charlie Ross adds another for Union on an EMO with 5:39 left in the half, and they trail 7-2.

EDIT - Eddie Kiesa's second goal of the game makes it 8-2 RIT in the final minute of the half, and that's where it stands at the break. He's one of 7 scorers today for the Tigers, who won 27 of 40 ground ball battles and outshot Union 26-16.

EDIT - Tyler Brooks-Lambert, who won 7 of 11 first-half face-offs for RIT, wins the opening scrum of the 2nd half and takes it right to the net for the score. Took just 8 seconds. 9-2 RIT.

EDIT - The Tigers make it 10-2 on Jack Krzyston's 2nd of the game.

EDIT - Casey Jackson tallies for the Dutchmen, who trail 10-3.

EDIT - Tom Stanton with Union's 2nd straight and it's 10-4 with 5:00 left in the 3rd. Raining steadily in Rochester. No lights at RIT's field, and the weather limited the halftime break to just 5 minutes.

EDIT - Kyle Aquin's 2nd of the game for RIT, and it's 11-4 with 1:40 to play in the 3rd. Rain letting up.

EDIT - Into the 4th after RIT outshot the Dutchmen 20-10 in the 3rd for a 46-26 overall margin.

EDIT - Paul Alberti nets one for Union, their 3rd man-up goal of the game. 11-5 with 9:21 left in the game.

EDIT - Make it 4 man-up goals, as Daniel Kycia scores with 8:53 left and it's 11-6 RIT.

EDIT - Union's leading scorer Rob Santangelo makes it 11-7 with 8:17 left, as he takes the feed from behind the net and converts.

EDIT - And now the officials rule it no goal. His stick was broken, making it illegal. Back to an 11-6 RIT lead.

EDIT - After a frantic final 5 minutes, it remains 11-6 as the game goes final. Tigers goalie Pat Johnston (Norwell MA) makes a career-high 24 saves. End of the line for Union's seniors, the winningest class in the school's history (49-22). Unbeaten RIT (20-0) beats the Dutchmen (15-4) for the 3rd time this season, and they'll host Tufts on Sunday in a national semifinal.

* #2 Salisbury with a 3-1 first quarter lead over #4 Denison (OH).

EDIT - The Gulls tack on two more and it's 5-1 in the 2nd.

EDIT - Mike Kane gets the hat trick with 3:12 left in the half. 6-1, Salisbury.

EDIT - Luke Phipps tacks one on in the final minute to make it 7-1 Gulls.

EDIT - Into the 3rd, and Rhett DePol scores 12 seconds in for Salisbury's 8-1 lead.

EDIT - Denison finally finds the net as Chapin Speidel scores with 13:18 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - Salisbury wins it 15-5 as Greg Korvin & Luke Phipps join Kane with hat tricks. Phipps also with 3 assists. Denison suffers its first loss of the season.

------------------------------------------

* #3 Stevenson (MD) also leading 3-1 in the 1st over #5 Washington (MD).

EDIT - The Shoremen battle back with 3 straight, all by Jim Cusick for a hat trick, to take a 4-3 lead in the 2nd.

EDIT - Three more for Washington, and they're in solid position at the half threatening to pull the upset with a 7-3 lead.

EDIT - 2nd half underway. Colin Dabney scores 34 seconds in, then adds another with 11:11 left to draw Stevenson back to within 7-5.

EDIT - A minute later, on the EMO off a push call, Cusick gets his 4th of the game for the Shoremen who lead 8-5.

EDIT - Stevenson gets an EMO on a slash call, and Billy Burgoyne scores. Mustangs trail 8-6.

EDIT - It's a 1-goal game as Chris Dashiell scores for Stevenson to make it 8-7 with 8:48 to play in the 3rd.

EDIT - Kodie Englehart gives the Shoremen a 2-goal cushion. 9-7 with 7:21 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - Another EMO for the Mustangs on a slash, and Nick Rossi scores to make it 9-8 with 5:31 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - Glen Tompkins ties it for Stevenson. 9-9 with 4:03 in the 3rd.

EDIT - Englehart called for "roughness" on a hard pick with 1:08 left, and Sid Looney capitalizes 13 seconds later. 10-9, Washington. And that's where they are heading to the 4th.

EDIT - Hunter Nowicki makes it 11-9 Shoremen with 12:45 to play.

EDIT - 18 secs later, it's Burgoyne scoring again for Stevenson, right off the face-off. 11-10 game. Mustangs outshooting the Shorebirds 46-30.

EDIT - Wow! Dashiell ties it for Stevenson with 3:26 left! That's 2 goals & 5 assists for him tonight.

EDIT - Holy shit. Cusick scores from the left for Washington, and they're up 12-11 with 22.5 seconds left.

EDIT - Stevenson wins the face-off and calls time-out with 18 secs left.

EDIT - The Mustangs can't convert, and Washington has pulled the upset win on the road, knocking off the defending national champions. The Shoremen will play at #2 Salisbury (MD) in their second straight intrastate battle in the tournament.

It's all Terps out of the gate, with 3 unanswered goals in the opening three minutes. Time out Bulldogs, and they need to regroup quickly. Maryland's been able to move the ball around at will and get their finishers in place unimpeded.

It's 9-4 Terrapins at the half. Mike Chanenchuk and Joe Locascio each have a hat trick for Maryland. For Locascio it's the first of his career, and Chanenchuk has added three assists.

Maryland made it 4-0 before Bryant even got a possession in this game, and that was 5:36 into the 1st quarter which led to the Bulldogs' first goal. The Terps built leads of 7-1 and 9-2 before Bryant answered with a pair late in the 2nd.  Maryland scored on 9 of their first 10 shots on net against Gunnar Waldt, who was such a stud in Wednesday's win over Cuse. The Terps are doing a superb job of not only cycling players and moving the ball, but creating screens that limit Waldt's vision of incoming shots. Truth be told, at least 6 of Maryland's goals weren't going to be saved no matter what due to well-executed passes from one side of the net to the wide-open side. Ten of their 20 shots have been on net, and 9 of those have been goals.

The other story is on face-offs, where Bryant's Kevin Massa excelled against the Orange and helped control possession and tempo for the Bulldogs. Completely different story this week, as Maryland's Charlie Raffa has won the first nine of today's game, allowing his mates to hog the ball and build a formidable lead. Massa battled back late in the half to win 4 of the last 6.

The Terps are also winning the ground ball battle, 19-11.

Connor Cannizzaro gets his 2nd of the game to make it 10-4 with 11:00 left in the 3rd. Sweet move, working his way from behind the net to Waldt's right. A brilliant faked pass prevented a double-team, and he filled the gap by gutting left before pulling another superb fake, this time on Waldt. WIthin a split second he motioned as if he was shooting low, got the keeper to commit, then threw it in over his shoulder up top.

EDIT - Chanenchuk's 4th of the day, and it's 11-4 with 7:50 to play in Q3. They're just toying with Bryant at this point. Clearly they studied every second of game film from the Cuse win.

EDIT - Bryant sophomore Shane Morrell, the Bulldogs' leading scorer, gets his 2nd today. A running turnaround over-the-shoulder shot as he came from behind the net to Niko Amato's right and leapt in the air about 10 feet in front. 11-5 Terps.

EDIT - Jay Carlson scores his 2nd of the day on an extra-man opportunity for Maryland following a really stupid penalty by Bryant for an illegal hit. 12-5 with 5:00 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - And there's the hat trick for Carlson less than 20 seconds later as he crashed the net. 13-5 Terps.

EDIT - Raffa's on the sidelines getting an injury looked at. Sophomore Jon Garino now handling face-offs for Maryland.

EDIT - Colin Dunster's 2nd of the day draws Bryant to within 13-6 with 3:00 left in the 3rd. Lefty shot from the right point about 25 feet out.

EDIT - A tripping call leads to another EMO for the Terps, and they again thread the needle on a back-door cut on the doorstep with Chanenchuk (4th assist) feeding Cannizzaro (4th goal) perfectly. The quarter will end with Maryland up 14-6.

4th quarter underway, and Dunster gets the hat trick to bring Bryant within 14-7 with 12:44 left in the game.

EDIT - Check that. It deflected in off Dan Sipperly. Dunster gets the assist.

EDIT - Dunster gets the hat trick after all ,making it 14-8 with 10:22 to play.

EDIT - The Terps slow things down to eat some clock and frustrate Bryant as it ends up a 16-8 win. Chanenchuk adds his 5th goal of the afternoon to cap of the first 9-point day for a Maryland player since 1979.

The Terps (13-3) advance to the semis right in their backyard, while the Bulldogs finish their second Division I tournament-eligible season at an impressive 16-5.

The Irish draw first blood on a Matt Kavanagh EMO goal 2:02 into the game as he beats Blaze Riorden.

EDIT - Conor Doyle makes it 2-0 Irish with 11:50 left in 1Q, running around behind the net and emerging to Riorden's left for a turnaround whip up top.

EDIT - Albany finally gets their first possession of the game with 11:40 to play in the 1st quarter.

EDIT - Shane Doss with a HUGE point blank save for ND. The Irish take over.

EDIT - 3-0, Irish after Nick Ossello fell down losing his footing but recovered to score on a backhander from the ground. Time out Danes with 9:45 left in the 1st.

EDIT - Big takeaway for Notre Dame, and Albany remains scoreless approaching 8:00 left in the quarter. And there's Kavanagh for his 2nd, sliding off a pick from goal line extended right to left for the lefty whip shot with 7:58 to play. 4-0, Irish.

EDIT - Danes get on the board as Lyle Thompson comes around the net to Doss's left and shovels one in over his shoulder Larry Bird no-look style, one of Lyle's patented moves.

EDIT - Brother Miles makes it 4-2 with his 80th of the season. He's now 2 away from breaking the all-time single-season goals record.

EDIT - There's #2 for Miles, and it's 4-3 Irish as he falls down in front of the net and pulls Lyle's over-the-shoulder shovel that also goes over a defender. Less than 2:00 to play in the quarter.

EDIT - Conor Kelly with a few critical violations in the face-off X, and that's allowing the Danes to keep possession.

EDIT - The Irish with another takeaway, under a minute left, but they can't capitalize. Missed shot over the net with no back-up and the Dames take over with 9.5 secs left, However their pass down field goes out of bounds and they trail 4-3 after one.

40 seconds into the 2nd quarter and Jon Scioscia scores to up the Irish lead to 5-3.

EDIT - Miles Thompson with an assist from net-side out to John Maloney from 30 feet out, and he scores on a low-to-high. 5-4 Notre Dame with 11:18 left in the half.

EDIT - And Miles Thompson has just tied the all-time single-season goals record (82) while also tying the game and earning the hat trick. Takes the feed from left of the net, and while still leaning left with his back to the net he shovels it in over his right shoulder. Just amazing to watch it in slow motion.

EDIT - John Reese of Yale, who now shares the record he set in 1990, is in attendance on the Albany sideline and exchanges handshakes and a bro hug with Miles' dad. Great moment for the sport.

EDIT - The Irish recover a critical ground ball in Albany's offensive zone. 5:45 left in the half.

EDIT - Save Riorden, and here come the Danes with 5:00 to play. But another bad turnover as Ty Thompson's cross-field pass misses the mark and the Irish recover the GB with 4:00 remaining.

EDIT - The Irish score on a bouncer by Trevor Brosco, and it's 6-5 Notre Dame with 3:17 to go.

EDIT - Another big save by Riorden with 2:40 left. The Irish have done a great job pressuring Riorden on clears while getting back and staying in formation to prevent any fast breaks by the Danes.

EDIT - Albany can't get any offensive traction in the final 90 seconds of the half as they're interrupted by a pair of time-outs (one by each team) and they hold the ball for the final shot. Still 6-5 Irish at the break.

Albany gets the game's first transition goal to open the 2nd half scoring. Ty Thompson caps it off on the right doorstep. Great passing on the 5-on-4. And we're tied 6-6 with 12:30 left in the 3rd quarter. Danes win the face-off.

EDIT - Scioscia takes a long feed from behind the net and banks it in off Riorden's leg just as the stall warning on the Irish was about to expire. With 7:00 left in the 3rd, Notre Dame reclaims the lead, 7-6.

EDIT - Lyle Thompson sees the double-team coming from behind and passes it blind over his shoulder for the cross-field feed to Will Stenberg who winds up and fires from the left point about 15 feet out. Tie game again, 7-7 with 6:30 left in Q3.

EDIT - Albany with a big takeaway and it leads to another Albany goal. Lyle Thompson with yet another over-the-shoulder score coming from behind the net to the goalie's left. Uncanny. Danes up 8-7 with 4:45 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - Third turnover of the game by the Irish with 3:45 to play, and it costs them. This time Lyle works his way around the other side of the net, then reverses course and heads straight toward the goalie, and somehow shoots it in overhand on a line parallel to the GLE. He's got a hat trick. 2:45 left in the quarter, and Albany leads 9-7.

EDIT - And another Albany takeaway with a minute left in the 3rd. And holy crap, what a pass by Lyle from the left to cousin Ty, who was camped out by the right post for his 2nd score of the day. Incredible the way Lyle works behind the net. And the horn sounds to end the quarter with the Danes up 10-7.

Heading to the 4th, and the Thompsons have combined for eight goals and four assists. Lyle has 3&3, Miles 3&1, Ty 2&0. And Lyle's last assist was his 77th of the year, so he becomes the second Thompson brother of the day to tie an all-time NCAA single-season record. He joins UMBC's Steve Marohl, the same guy whose all-time single-season points record he broke.

EDIT - Another save by Riorden, and it looks like the officials missed a slash to the face of an Irish attacker.

EDIT - It's 11-7 Danes after a Doug Eich goal with the long stick over the shoulder. 13:00 left in the game.

EDIT - Albany pouring it on. Matthew Bertrams with incredible speed goes end to end and rips it in as he runs past the right post. Still plenty of time on the clock, and the Irish take a time out with 11:49 to play. 12-7 Albany after six unanswered goals.

The Irish get another from Ossello to break Albany's streak. 12-8 with 8:11 to play.

EDIT - Make it 12-9 as Westy Hopkins finds the net on a fast break following a takeaway on a stick swat with 7:16 left.

EDIT - Irish win possession after the face-off scrum, and Doyle whips it straight in up high from the center of the zone 20 feet in front. 12-10 Albany. with 6:55 left.

EDIT - Another face-off win for ND. What a reversal of tides.

And it's now 12-11 with 6:19 left after Sergio Perkovic scores. The Danes are flustered and looking like stunned ghosts. And they'll take their final time out in an effort to regroup. Four unanswered by the Irish.

EDIT - Another O'Connor face-off win for ND. The Irish take three shots -- two saves and a crossbar -- and it leads to a fast break the other way and a score for Albany by Ryan Feuerstein. Holy crap, what a turn of fortunes there. From a tie game to busted momentum in seconds.

Holy shit, Kavanagh from the left cross-field to Hopkins on the right doorstep with 4:43 left and it's a 13-12 game with Albany still up.

EDIT - Another face-off win for ND. Holding now in their zone with 4:00 left.

EDIT - Tie game again. 3:02 left. Wow. Perkovic finds the net once more.

EDIT - I'm thinking this comes down to a Lyle-to-Miles goal at the horn to win it as both brothers break the tie on their respective records.

EDIT - Danes finally get possession, and they nearly lose a ground ball in their zone. Almost disaster there.

EDIT - Lyle tries the over-the-shoulder move by the right post once again, but finally misses one. Albany still with possession. 1:28 left.

EDIT - And he tries it again but misses wide. Still Danes ball, 1:00 left. Holy shit is this tense.

EDIT - Danes will be able to hold for the last shot provided they retain it. Down to :20 left.

EDIT - WOW. Ty's lefty overhead whipper is saved by Conor Kelly, who's back in net for the Irish. Incredible. We head to overtime to decide it.

Ryan Feurstein was defending to Kavanagh's right, and when Kav appeared to slip Feurstein took a step too deep. That allowed Kav to advance past him toward the crease with both body and shooting space. A little pivot to the left as he moved right cleared room for his stick and opened a line to the goal.

Based on early returns, two things are clear:

1) These are not your father's Blue Jays.
2) This place is going to stink with DukeSox's farts for at least the next week.

All Blue Devils so far, as the defending national champions have scored on all 6 of their possessions. Five different scorers found the net before Josh Dionne became their first two-goal man of the afternoon. Case Matheis, Kyle Keenan, Christian Walsh & 6'5"/240-lb behemoth Myles Jones have the others. 6-0 Duke.

EDIT - Hopkins finally starts to get their shit together as Rob Guida scores. They add another one from Brandon Benn on an EMO, and it's 6-2 with 2:20 left in the 1st quarter.

EDIT - Duke answers with 1:33 left on a fast break off the cross-crease feed from Matheis. Dionne already has his hat trick and it's only 12:33 pm. All of it set up by a JHU turnover and a great pass downfield by Will Haus.

EDIT - Another EMO for JHU, and Guida gets his second. The Jays rotate the ball counter-clockwise, setting him up on the right point. And the 1st quarter will end with Duke up 7-3.

Second quarter underway, and Dionne gets his 4th to make it 8-3 with 13:25 left in the half. He set up near the middle of the zone but to the right and took a perimeter feed, then he faked right before making a clockwise Kareem sky hook move and whipping it in at the peak of his leap.

EDIT - Make it 9-3 as Jordan Wolf makes an explosive first step from behind the net to lose his defender, sprints for the left post, then turns and fires it in low and left. Poor job of sealing the gap there by JHU goalie Eric Schneider.

EDIT - Another Duke penalty, another EMO goal for the Jays. Guida with the hat trick, and it's 9-4 Blue Devils with under 11:00 to play in the half.

EDIT - Jones draws the double-team and dishes it down low to Walsh who rips it in for his 2nd of the day. The big man is like a much more mobile version of Shaq relative to the rest of the nation's LAX players. 10-4 Duke with 7:31 left in the half.

EDIT - Keenan with the quick overhand shot while leaning left toward the net. 11-4 with 6:45 left.

EDIT - Blue Jays respond as Mike Pellegrino battles hard for the face-off win and gets it to Ryan Brown on the right doorstep. 11-5 Duke with 6:00 to play.

EDIT - Jones is downright frightening. Fakes the shot, gets his defender (Pellegrino) to commit, then dodges left and moves in for the close-range assault. 12-5 with 5:15 on the clock.

EDIT - Holden Cattoni scores for JHU off a critical ground ball pickup by Wells Stanwick. 12-6 with 3:41 until the half, and Duke takes a time-out.

EDIT - Sweet goal by Connor Reed, running from center to right, jumping and firing into the top of the net past a screen. 12-7 Duke, and now the Jays win the face-off as we approach the 2:00 mark.

EDIT - And another JHU goal, their 3rd straight, and it's 12-8 with 1:38 to play. John Crawley with a strong move from behind the net past the left post, and he nails it southpaw.

EDIT - After JHU won the face-off, they lose the ball and there's a ground ball scrum. Duke gets it and moves it downfield to set up a Dionne shot. And as he plants facing to the left of the field, with his weight going down on his right leg, he's absolutely nailed on his left side by Guida. An extremely ugly impact but a perfectly legal hit. Jays break the other way with Dionne still down and in agony, and the refs finally blow it dead after a shot over the JHU net. Looks like either a knee or ankle. He was able to get up and leave the field on his own power, but very gingerly. The half ends with Duke still up 12-8, but Dionne could prove a huge loss.

EDIT - Strong response by Hopkins after allowing Duke to run roughshod over the first 7+ minutes of the game. They outscored the Blue Devils 8-6 the rest of the half, closing on a 4-1 run.

It's early in the D-II games, but underdogs Tampa & LIU Post have both jumped to quick 1-0 leads.

EDIT - Post still up on Adelphi 2-1, with both their goals on the EMO by Connor Drost & Anthony Berardis. Meanwhile Limestone has responded and now leads Tampa 2-1.

EDIT - Adelphi & Post trade goals. LIU still up 3-2 with 4:09 left in the 1st.

EDIT - Limestone pushes their lead to 4-1.

EDIT - Two more goal swaps, and LIU Post leads Adelphi 4-3.

EDIT - LIU Post with two more (Baccaris' 2nd and Ryan Slane), and they're up 6-3 with 4:12 left in the 2nd.

No surprise, but Dionne is done for the day with a "lower body injury". Tough break for the Blue Devils. Kyle Keenan will take his spot on the attack.

Here's a Vine of the hit

Second half underway in Newark.  Kyle Turri replaces Luke Aaron in the Duke net, and JHU draws first blood. Four unanswered for the Jays as Cattoni scores from the right wing. 12-9 Blue Devils with 11:59 left in Q3.

EDIT - Duke looking out of sorts thus far, with some sloppy play and three turnovers this half.

EDIT - Cattoni with the hat trick makes it a 2-goal game with 9:25 left in the quarter. Connor Reed ranges left to right on the perimeter as the D slides with him, and he finds Cattoni wide open at the left point for the rifle.

EDIT - Wolf with the much-needed goal for the Devils. Jordan Wolf with the jump shot near the right wing finds the lower-left corner. They'd gone scoreless for nearly 12 minutes. 13-10 Duke with 8:15 to play in the 3rd.

EDIT - Huge save by Schneider up high with the stick with 7:00 left in Q3. Hopkins takes possession.

EDIT - Wolf with his 2nd straight goal and he's got the hat trick. Duke goes up 14-10.

EDIT - Gigantic save up top by Schneider. Aside from Wolf, Duke hasn't been able to finish many chances this half with Dionne out.

EDIT - Another big save on the hard one-hopper from the left point, and the quarter ends with the Blue Devils still up 14-10.

4th quarter underway, and Will Stanwick scores 46 seconds in for JHU to make it 14-11 Duke.

EDIT - A long-ass possession for JHU but no timer-on for some reason. Stellar D by Duke. A big save by Turri on a right-wing shot, and the Devils finally have possession this quarter after 4:30 of action.

EDIT - Refs seem to have a double-standard, as they give Duke the timer-on after just 45 seconds of offense time. A shot, a save, and they retain the ball. Under 9:00 left now as Matheis rifles it in, and it's 15-11. Once again it's Jones drawing the double-team and making a great feed.

EDIT - Jones is a machine. It's like a broken record. He penetrates to the middle, the defense converges, and he makes a Magic Johnson no-look pass to Wolf on the left doorstep for the easy goal. 16-11 Duke with 7:45 left in the game.

EDIT - Just seconds out of a JHU time-out, and Wolf scores again coming from behind the Hopkins net. 17-11, Blue Devils with 7:22 left.

EDIT - Myles Jones with a move to the right, then a juke to the left, and he scores for the hat trick with 5:30 left. This kid was a stud small forward at Salisbury Prep in CT, so he's certainly got the athleticism. The fact that he's almost twice the size of every other player on the lax field is hilarious. 18-11, Duke.

EDIT - Matheis makes it 19-11 on a pass from Wolf, and Wolf gets nailed with an illegal late and high hit y Phil Castronova. Wolf was running for the net from the left GLE before the dump-off and didn't slow down, while Castronova came right at him from the crease. Quite a collision with his horizontal stick up high. It'll be a 2-man EMO for Duke for sure, and should probably be an ejection. Totally unnecessary. The Blue Devils should be able to just run out the clock now with 3:30 left to play.

EDIT - With the clock winding down, ESPNU names Myles Jones the player of the game with 3 goals & 4 assists. The Blue Devils close it out with 6 unanswered goals to win it, 19-11.

FWIW, Dionne returned to the Duke sideline, but he was on crutches.

Denver & Drexel should get underway shortly before 3 pm.

D-II
Adelphi battled back to tie LIU Post 7-7, but the Pioneers regained the lead 8-7 on another Connor Drost goal. They're late in the 3rd quarter.

Limestone has forged ahead of Tampa, leading 11-9 early in the 4th.

EDIT - Limestone wins it 14-10 to advance to the final. LIU Post scored three more to go up 10-7, but Adelphi has responded with a pair and it's 10-9 Pioneers with 4:00 left.

EDIT - LIU Post pulls off the upset, 12-9, to advance to the D-II championship in Baltimore.

D-III
Tufts & RIT are tied 4-4 after a quarter.

EDIT - They exchanged a pair of goals, but the Jumbos have the last two with Cole Bailey getting the hat trick and Peter Bowers making it 8-6 Jumbos. Patton Watkins has apparently been a stud in net with 10 saves for Tufts. 6:22 left in the first half.

EDIT - Bailey gets his 4th goal of the half, and Beau Wood nets his 2nd. Tufts leads 10-6 at halftime. It's just the second time that top-ranked RIT has trailed at the break, the first coming in the season opener vs Stevenson when they trailed 8-3 and rallied for the win.

Drexel draws first blood less than a minute in, Ben McIntosh from Ryan Belka. 1-0 Dragons.

EDIT - Make it 2-0 Drexel on a Jules Raucci unassisted sweep shot from 10 yards out on the left wing.

EDIT - Zach Miller gets Denver on the board. It's an EMO goal with 10:41 to go in the 1st.

EDIT - Harrison Archer ties it up from the left point with 8:50 left in Q1.

EDIT - Dragons go back up, 3-2. Nick Trizano scores down low from the doorstep on the feed from Belka with 5:35 to play in the 1st.

EDIT - Denver gets another EMO (on a high hit), and they score seconds in as Eric Adamson puts it in on the edge of the crease. Tied up 3-3.

EDIT - Now a penalty on the Dragons during the ensuing face-off. I have no idea what he did. Denver up a man for 30 seconds.

EDIT - Adamson again, and the Pioneers have their first lead of the day, 4-3, with 3:20 to play in Q1.

EDIT - Miller gets his 2nd, and it's another Denver goal from the doorstep. 5-3 Pioneers with 2:15 left in the quarter.

EDIT - Drexel gets an interception and a fast break in the waning seconds, but they can't convert. End of the 1st, still 5-3 Denver.

Tufts now up on unbeaten top seed RIT, 15-9 with 1:38 left in the 3rd. Beau Wood opened the 2nd-half scoring for his hat trick and Kyle Aquin did the same 2 minutes later. Wood then added his 4th before Ben Andreycak notched his 2nd. Next came Peter Gill, before Wood scored his 5th. After trailing 4-2, the Jumbos are on an 13-5 run.

Second quarter underway in Newark, and Denver makes it 6-3 just 23 seconds in. Tyler Pace from Noble on a break from the face-off win.

EDIT - Another penalty on Drexel, delayed call as the Pioneers maintain possession. The whistle finally comes with 11:39 left in the 2nd. It's a slash for 1:00. Denver's scored on all three EMO's today.

EDIT - But not that one, as Adamson gets stuffed. Great save by Gabrielsen.

EDIT - Archer gets his 2nd, and Denver is in full control of possession and tempo while scoring on 6 of their last 8 shots. 7-3 Pioneers with 8:47 to play in the half.

EDIT - Reserve midfielder Colin Woolford joins the party for Denver. Six unanswered for the Pioneers. 8-3 with 7:21 left until the break.

EDIT - Wesley Berg buries it underhanded for Denver. The assist came from Zach Miller while lying on the ground after being knocked down by a double-team. Still got the pass off through a scrum somehow. 9-3 with 6:20 left in the half.

EDIT - Drexel will get a one-minute EMO with 3:13 left in the half on a slash call. Their first man-up chance of the game.

EDIT - Denver picks off a pass just before the penalty expires, and they'll take a time out with 1:54 left.

EDIT - The Pioneers predictably eat some clock, then take another time-out with :57 left to avoid the stall call. They should be able to burn the rest and get off the last shot.

EDIT - Adamson comes from behind the net past the right post, turns and buries it with 11 secs left. The half will end with Denver on an 8-0 run and dominating the game in every way including the 10-3 scoreboard margin. They've held Drexel scoreless for the last 20:35.

Party time in Medford. Tufts will be playing for the D-III National Championship in Baltimore next weekend after destroying top-seeded and previously unbeaten Rochester Institute of Technology, 21-11. Beau Wood notches 7 goals and an assist to lead the way, and Cole Bailey scores 5 goals. Patton Watkins makes 18 saves.

The Jumbos improve to 20-2 while the Tigers end their season at 20-1. It's the first time RIT has allowed 20 goals since a 20-12 loss to Stevenson (MD) in the 2010 season opener.

Second half underway, and Jamie Faus replaces Ryan LaPlante in net for Denver.

EDIT - Adamson gets #4 to make it 11-3 Pioneers. Nice feed from Pace.

EDIT - Drexel ball, and Faus makes the save on a shot. That's 8 straight shots for the Dragons without a goal, and the Pioneers take over.

EDIT - Back to Drexel on the turnover with 13:40 left in the quarter, but another Faus stop sends it the other way with 13:00 to go.

EDIT - With a delayed penalty on a slash, Adamson scores his 5th of the day on a pass from Miler. 12-3 Pioneers with 10:00 left in Q3.

EDIT - The current 10-goal streak is the highest by Denver in coach Bill Tierney's 5-year tenure.

EDIT - Drexel had a 60-second EMO but couldn't do jack squat. Dragons looking really out of sorts out there. 6:30 left in the 3rd.

EDIT - An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on the Denver bench will give Drexel an unreleasable 1:00 EMO. Apparently the coaching staff was giving the refs more of an earful than they wanted to hear. And McIntosh ends the Dragon drought with his 2nd of the day and his 100th career goal on a ripper from the left doorstep. 12-4 Pioneers with 6:12 left in Q3. Still 40 secs left on the EMO.

EDIT - Nick Saputo gets another man-up goal for the Dragons to make it 12-5 on a break from the face-off with the feed from McIntosh. Two goals in 17 seconds, and the penalty continues.

EDIT - A 1:00 unreleasable penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct against Drexel's Jordan Klunder is called, but Noble scores for Denver on the delay to make it 13-5. That's his first goal of the day to go with 4 assists. And now the Pioneers will go on the EMO.

EDIT - Adamson gets #6 on the man-up, and it's 14-5 with 3:58 left in the quarter.

EDIT - A field-length chuck in the waning seconds by the Pioneers nearly goes in, but the quarter ends with Denver still up 14-5.

Stats after three: Denver leads 33-18 on ground balls, 14-7 on faceoffs, and 9-6 in saves. They scored on 4 of 7 EMOs (Drexel was 2 for 5). Overall shots were closer, with Denver holding a 25-24 edge.

EDIT - 30 seconds into the 4th, and Denver gets another EMO. It's a 1:00 full-time call against Drexel for a hit to the head.

EDIT - Drexel gets a goal from Trizano, his 2nd today. 10:18 left in the game. 14-6 Denver.

EDIT - Time flying by in the final quarter, and we're down to 5:30 to play.

EDIT - Another Denver goal by Dallas Bridle, with the assist from Adamson (to go with his 6 goals on 7 shots). 15-6 with 3:56 left.

EDIT - And that'll do it. Adamson is the ESPN Player of the Game with a 7-point day. Denver wins it 15-6, and they head to the Final Four for the 3rd time in 4 years. Total domination today.
