I think he did for sure when acquired but he hasn’t been a good fit up until last night. How much weight do you place on one game? How injured was he prior to last night? These are Brad answers and our advantage is that it isn’t like he showed well in a contract year so that should help diminish his market.
HRB, I think he’s looked out of sync with the C’s similar to White in 2022. He’s not being asked to do as much as White was but watching the games he seemed like he was getting the concepts but wasn’t dialed in as much as he needed to be.

The point about him being Al’s understudy or possible replacement was good as well. With Al aging and KP’s availability being suspect, I expect Brad to try to retain him but not at top $$.

Mazzulla and staff FTW.

Who knows if Tillman is back next year but last night he justified the trade.

Also, his knee doesn't seem to be bothering him like it was when he arrived in Boston. Rest appears to have been good for X.
They need solid centers locked in long-term cheap, so I'd hope they can bring him back at like 4/22 or something. Maybe I'm underestimating his market, but he was pretty buried on the bench.

For me it seems like 70% he comes back, because he seems like a competitive guy who enjoys doing this with his life, but I could also easily imagine him riding off into the sunset?
I couldn’t find the clip, but he said in an interview at the start of the season he won’t be the guy that holds on too long, that the moment he can’t help the team on the court he’ll retire. He also said as long as he can produce he’s likely to continue to play, and he’s shown this year he has plenty left in the tank

Tillman reminds me of Kendrick Perkins: no offensive game, but he has his ego firmly under control and doesn't gum up the works. He can't jump, but he's so long that he doesn't need to, and nobody in the game can move him off a spot once he has claimed it.

Perk and ego under control in the same sentence… I feel you, player Perk was that way. Not talking head Perk.

Makes you realize how difficult it is to make 3's in an NBA game. Here's a poor NBA shooter just drilling them automatically in an open gym.
Yeah you can get into a real rhythm that way - something you can’t do in a real game.
